Catfish Plantation is a hidden gem that is cozy and quaint. The staff was friendly and very attentive.
We decided to order several dishes because honestly we had a hard time picking just one. My absolute favorite appetizer was the meat pies. We ordered one of each and split it. Both were absolutely delicious.
The portions are very generous, but you'll want to save some room for dessert. I tried the bread pudding and hubby ordered the peach cobbler. The bread pudding was warm, sweet, and yummy!!
If you're ever in Waxahachie, I would definitely recommend popping in for a bite.
We really enjoyed our first visit to Catfish Plantation! The old house location is super quaint, and the ghost stories associated with the location add a fun and spooky air as well. The food and service were both great! The Cajun-style catfish was absolutely delicious, as was the bread pudding! We will definitely be back, and would recommend to anyway visiting Hachie.
A Jem in the middle of Waxahachie, TX! An old Victorian House repurposed to be a restaurant, you can almost miss it as it is so inconspicuously located in the middle of suburbia with no big signs. The ambiance is cozy. The staff are amazing. The food omg is to die for! You have to try the catfish platters and the gator bites. Great place for a date or a family/ friends gathering
We have been to the Catfish Plantation throughout the years. We enjoy the historic atmosphere and the delicious food. We just want to mention that Jennifer, our server, made our visit this last time exceptional. She was extremely friendly and helped us with our orders. She also shared some ghost stories that made it even more exciting. Our food was delicious as expected. We will be back.
Catfish is delicious, okra is cooked really well, atmosphere is pleasant and clean. Didn't meet any of the local ghosts, but the service was excellent, and the food was good.

My family and I visited for the first time yesterday and it was DELICIOUS!! I have been craving real cajun food during my pregnancy and this succeeded my expectations. All the food was hot and fresh, seasoned well, and nice size portions. Big ups to the Chef and the friendly waitresses who made our experience very enjoyable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 😊
We visit here everytime we're in Waxahachie. They have some of the best catfish we've ever eaten especially with the spicy Cajun seasonings.
Interesting history. The calamari was excellent so was the cheese sticks but the gator is awful. We had chicken fried steak which was good, mashed potatoes are really good, green beans were exceptional but the salad is a complete waste. My friend had the cajun fish and grilled shrimp which she couldn't finish.. oh the regular chicken fried steak is more than big enough unless you eat like a lumberjack. The staff was really sweet, helpful, playful and attentive. I recommend checking it out but call ahead at 50% capacity it fills up quickly.
