Grand Tavern

We have heard a lot of good thing's about this place, and when searching for a new place to go to for date night, decided to check it out. We went on a Saturday evening. It wasn't very busy, we were able to walk right in and seat ourselves. We waited 20 mins to order and roughly 2 hours for our food to come to the table.. We had a babysitter and honestly didn't mind the wait, we would have been happy to have a few drinks and enjoy each others company.. But.. Our waitress didn't check on us at all while we waited, we had to get the attention from another waitress to order more drinks, check on the status of our order, and when it did come, she had to get our silverware, napkins, etc.... The food was... Ok. I understand that we went to Waverly Ohio for seafood.. Its not going to be the best, but some things just didn't taste right. We had the New York Strip, the Surf in Turf, and oyster's. After the long wait, our food wasn't hot. The oysters were extremely salty, and we didn't finish our steaks. They were not cooked the way we requested, cold and had a seasoning on them that was off putting. Our waitress gave us our food and we didn't see her again. The nice waitress working the tables near ours, gave us our check. We didn't complain, we were there a total of 3 hours and at that point we were ready to pay and get the heck out of there.
