Market Grille

The waitress was doing her best but honestly I wouldn't come back for brunch. It took more than 25 minutes to get mimosas. Then we ordered and everyone got there food except me. I asked the waitress about it and the manager brought it out no apology or anything. Actually she said can you look it over to make sure it is correct. So I won't be bad here.

Did not tell me they were out of burgers until after I ordered and had waited almost 30 minutes for my order. They offered a refund but i refused. They made an exception and took the packaged burger they sell and had the kitchen use it, which is really not a big deal. Then i waited another 10 to 20 minutes. In the end, my kids said the burgers tasted bland. Maybe I should have gotten a refund. The hyvee on 50th has better burgers.

I will not make the mistake of coming to this location for breakfast again. My poor experience began with seating. After requesting a booth, we were seated in a table. The couples behind us in line did receive booths. Brushing this off, we were waited on slowly and did not receive our drinks for at least 10 minutes. That was followed up by receiving our food about 45 minutes after ordering. One might think breakfast food that takes 45 minutes to prepare would be great, but that was on the contrary. Everything was cold and looked as if it was prepared yesterday.

Very, very disappointed in our visit to hy vee grill in Waukee this afternoon. Food took a great deal of time for just three meals and the amount of food served was sad. A tiny cheeseburger with about 10 fries, tacos with no sides (apparently the menu changed and only includes tacos no chips with salsa ). Tacos were suppose to be blackened shrimp, but had zero flavor with little cabbage slaw. I did mention my disappointment with our food and we never once saw a manager. I’m so disappointed in our experience, as in the past it was always good food. This used to be our favorite place to eat as a family of 6, but sadly We will not return. On a positive note our server was sweet and kind.
