I visited La Tavola for a family dinner right before Valentine’s Day (a little delayed on this review, oops) and was able to take part in some of their amazing Valentine’s specials, like the lamb chops and fun desserts that were offered. We were seated downstairs, and I really liked the vibe of the restaurant. Two of my family members ordered the lasagna bolognese, and we were completely shocked at the massive block that came out! Every meal we had was fantastic, and I’ll be keeping them in mind for Valentine’s or other holiday meals in addition to hopefully visiting more often!

Good food and good service. Had the penne peppered vodka with shrimp. Tastes different than regular vodka sauce but good. The lighting was a little dimmer than I like. The area where we sat had a draft from the door, I suggest when you call to make reservations, ask for a table away from door/bar area.

The apps were outstanding and definitely the star of the evening. We ordered 3, the Fried Calamari (may fav), Pane Cotta (escarole, white beans, parmesan broth, toasted garlic herb bread topping) and the Sausage with broccoli rabe, all 3 were a smash hit. Enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco and the 4 of us shared 2 entrees which was a smart idea as the apps are a good size.
