As you walk in there’s a warmth feeling. You’re greeted with a smile. The service is amazing just like the food. I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu and was never disappointed. All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth and taste of home-made food. In addition the cocktails are extremely delicious and unique. Definitely

Visited DC for the first time and everyone said to try Ethiopian food so I came here was blown away. I was not sure what to order or where even to start but my server Hermela guided me through the menu and gave me suggestions. We decided on trying the Elfegne Special Goden Tibs and they were so good! Hermela was kind enough to get me some special homemade hot sauce that I also loved! I tried a Ethiopian white wine as well as a beer. The white wine was on the sweeter side. Overall I definitely recommend trying this place you won’t be disappointed!

The two ladies that waited on my buddy and me today (August 20, 2023) were out of this world nice!!! First time eating Ethiopian food, and I hope not the last! We ordered the Chicken and beef dinners with 5 veggie sides. I also highly recommend the fried fish on the side for $9.00. SUPER hot and fresh!!! Looking forward to eating here again in the future!

The most delicious and authentic Ethiopian cuisine I’ve had in so long. I hate to say it but maybe even better than my Grandmas and my Aunties from Ethiopia. Best advice for newcomers, or even people who know Ethiopian food, is to let them pick your dishes for you and build you a platter! Have a glass of tej (honey wine) to toast as tradition. It was a lovely time for my family and me. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely incredible… we got the Elfgene special golden tibs and the 50/50 with doro wot, key wot, collard greens and cabbage. The special tibs were mind blowingly delicious and flavorful, though everything was great. I quite liked the selection we got for 2. It was more than enough food! We also had the spiced tea and it was a very satisfying end to the experience.

Lovely solo dining experience last night. The food was delightful, service was friendly, and prices were reasonable. The space was welcoming and I enjoyed the art all throughout the restaurant. I spoke to the server and this location has been open for around 8 months and recently changed their name and management.
