Last Saturday we decided to stop by the Ritz Carrolton in Georgetown, Washington, DC for a cocktail; so, we went to the Hotel Livingroom / dining lounge. We were graciously greeted by Edward as we entered and we were seated at the place of our choice. Edward took the time to explain the new layout and menu in precise detail. Later that afternoon, Edward introduced us to the Restaurant Chef, Victoria Montenegro and she made a few Great suggestions on some menu items that would pair well with our bottle of wine. Needless to say, the food she helped us order was fantastic and unique! One of the orders was a smoked appetizer that was beautifully presented in a wooded box. Although we have had many good experiences at this Hotel in the past; we would highly recommend the Hotel and Degrees Bistro to guests, travelers, and locals alike! Thank you, Edward and Victoria, for being so kind and providing a wonderful experience. We look forward to our next visit! Sincerely, Todd & Cristy Niefeld

Wow this spot is totally magnificent, so happy we popped in for a birthday chomp with family. As you stroll in you are welcomed by the custodian and hit with the polish of the Ritz Carlton hall. We sat in the entryway region to eat since the primary region was under development yet that was not an issue by any means, the hall is beautiful, extraordinary style, unwinding yet fun music, brilliant client assistance from our wonderful server Belinda and model barkeep Sherman. We had the cheeseboard, empanadas, and burrata salad and each was considerably more incredible than the one preceding. Sherman even surprised us with a heavenly and rich birthday cake which was actually the cherry on top of an ideal evening. Belinda showed restraint, kind, and very proficient with us. We can hardly hold on to be back.

Wow this place is absolutely excellent, so glad we popped in for a birthday bite with family. As you walk in you are greeted by the doorman and hit with the elegance of the Ritz Carlton lobby. We sat in the lobby area to dine since the main area was under construction but that was not an issue at all, the lobby is lovely, great decor, relaxing yet fun music, excellent customer service from our lovely server Belinda and exemplary bartender Sherman. We had the cheeseboard, empanadas, and burrata salad and each was even more excellent than the one before. Sherman even surprised us with a delicious and elegant birthday pastry which was really the cherry on top of a perfect night. Belinda was patient, kind, and extremely professional with us. We cannot wait to be back.

The good and drinks were yummy. The service was great and the atmosphere pleasant. Yes, as others said a bit pricy but to be expected for the Ritz Carlton.

My nephew ordered a mocktail that was delicious, but he didn't like it. They removed it from the bill without us even asking and were incredibly kind. Things here are expensive, but it's the Ritz for a reason and their service is unmatched. I had no animosity towards my $20 house aged cocktail (The Frenchman) as it was potent, balanced, and served in a wonderful ambiance tucked away amidst all the action in Georgetown! While this Ritz may not scream luxury as every turn, it's in an incredible building that makes it a different adventure from the normal Ritz vibe.

I went there yesterday evening for drinks an appetizers and was shown amazing service by the bartender, who I think is named Louis. I asked him to mix us up something based on some broad descriptors (white spirit, spicy, booze forward) and he really delivered. He was very attentive and even gave us extra mustard jar minis when he overheard me gushing about how much I loved them. Just as we were leaving he gave us an explanation of Sauternes which he must have known I needed because he was talking with a coworker about them and I expressed confusion about it to my friends.

I mostly come here because it is a beautiful space. The food is typically just fine, not bad and not stand out or exciting, but a good meal. The service is unfortunately lacking. I think they are used to a slow pace because it isn’t a very popular place, but they should still check on the guests.
