Truly the greatest coffee kiosk in DC, and definitely has the best coffee available in the Foggy Bottom area! Sami always has a smile on his face and is one of the nicest guys around - a rarity in DC these days.
Reasonably priced and a wide variety of freshly made drinks. Lines can get long in the AM, but it's worth the wait! (Or just come back later in the morning. 😛)

Hands down the best coffee in the DMV. (I have a few more states to get local coffee from before I say the US.) But I’m confident that there’s no other coffee shop where the owner is as kind, personable, and caring.

Just passing thru the area and saw the line. Knew it had to be pretty good to wait in the sun for this long. Sami was cheerful, great coffee and good prices!
Sammy's coffee is great, but it's really the man himself that earns 5 stars. His welcoming greeting, his genuine smile, his technique, and his care for each customer makes this the best coffee spot in the area. I even witnessed him hand a cup of free coffee to a man who asked if anyone in line would buy him some. I will be a return customer!
Sami’s coffee is great, but his friendliness is even better. His new location is in Mount Vernon Triangle in between Sol and Shouk. Definitely take the time to stop in if you’re in the area.
Sami is one of the most pleasant people you will ever get the chance to talk with, he deserves all of the 5 star reviews he gets.
Moreover, the coffee is actually ridiculously good. Even the drip, which I get from him on most days, is better than what you’ll find anywhere remotely nearby. Espresso drinks are top shelf and the prices are more than fair for what you get.

Rumor has it that the best cup of coffee isn't from a cafe in Washington, D.C., but from a mobile cart. For the last 17 years, a Virginia based man named Sami sets up a tiny coffee cart across the street from the World Health Organization Monday-Friday. He tweets when he opens and when he closes and the times are random (usually it's between 9:50-10:20am for opening and 3-3:30pm for closing). For $3, you can order a small latte with flavored syrup and cinnamon. It's so smooth! Sami is a jolly man who just loves brewing coffee. He uses beans from Swings, the area's oldest coffee roastery. If you love good coffee, Sami's is a MUST! If you go more than once, Sami will greet you with a smile, remember your name and order, and ask you your weekend plans. He is so kind!
Sami had amazing coffee and even better service. If you are in the area you need to give him a try. This is the wrong location - new spot is on 655 K St connected to El Sol.
Sami is the best. It's better coffee than almost any other place around, and it's less expensive. I've never had a bad cup of coffee, espresso drink, or anything else from Sami's kiosk.
This is the best coffee kiosk in town. Sammy always has delicious coffee, which is proven by the long line that waits for a cup. If you're in the area and you need a little pick me up, this is the place to go.
