Probably one of the better Americanized Chinese restaurants I have come across. The food had very good flavor so I am not sure what everyone else is tasting but I intentionally ordered some of my favorites to see how the flavors would be and I was not disappointed.

This was my first time ordering from Mr. Chen’s. The food was delicious, hot and the vegetables cooked just right! The delivery was timely (actually 15 minutes before their estimate). I’ll definitely order again! Many thanks for a superb meal.

The best American Chinese food in D.C.-- I've eaten at numerous restaurants throughout the city, and none of them compare to the freshness and quality of Mr. Chens. Some may think it is overpriced, but I'll tell you the food is beyond worth it.

The food was AMAZING!!!! I had the spicy scallops and shrimp with Garlic Ginger sauce with brown rice. The dish was meticulously seasoned well. The Peking duck rolls were incredible as well.
Glad to have Mr Chen in my neighborhood.....

Today was a long day walking in DC, 8 miles, so we decided to go back to the hotel and order in, Chinese.
I found, Mr. Chen's Organic Chinese, on Grubhub, so, I ordered for the hubby, beef & broccoli, won ton soup and fried rice(all inclusive dinner). I had beef & vegetables, won ton soup and fried rice.
The food got delivered early, before the estimated delivery time. The food was very hot & fabulously delicious.
The only minor complaint was, there was NO plastic silverware. Be sure to make a note on your delivery order for plastic silverware.
The price is right & food was great! ✔✔✔✔

Great little hidden gem! Stopped in for a quick lunch to get out of the conference atmosphere at the Wardman up the street. I was pleasantly surprised with my flavor packed dishes. Service was friendly, atmosphere was very "DC Basement" :-)

First visit. From the outside, I was not expecting much. Once inside, everything changed. Service was fast, professional, and courteous. Noticed the dining room seemed immaculately clean. Food was very good and the portion size was good. I saw several tablets near the back, later learned these were Uber eats, Grubhub, etc and they were almost constantly going off. Their food delivery services seemed very busy! I just really enjoyed my meal and look forward to my next visit.

The food is good but it’s not organic as the title says. Just the veggies. Came here expecting that the majority of the food would be organic including rice, noodles and meats.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews about this place! I have lived across the street from this restaurant for the past 2 years and avoided eating there based on the stuff people posted online. 😡 The food I just picked up from there is absolutely delicious, fresh and super hot!! Try them!!!!

This would be a 5 star review except that I ordered online and my order wasn't ready when I walked in (about 10-15 min later). Apparently it didn't print or something, whatever. They found my order and filled it immediately.
I ordered the Hot & Sour Soup and Kung Pow Chicken lunch special. The soup was exactly what it's supposed to be - this is my baseline for a good Chinese place, and Mr. Chen's rocked it. The Kung Pow Chicken was also good, might not be my favorite dish, but the portion size was awesome.

Always good and a real salvation through the last year. Never greasy, over seasoned, or over sauced. Very good quality vegetables. Prompt delivery and always courteous. What more do you want?

I ordered delivery and the wonton soup was really good, one of the best that I've had. The spring rolls were also pretty good, but the crab rangoons were really overcooked. Overall I would order from them again from my experience.
