This is an absolutely amazing place! It is a completely hidden gem, not discovered beyond a few locals. As a tourist, I has the privilege to being introduced to this place by a local, and it is truly great. Their jerk chicken sandwich is out of this world, and their hot sauce nearing perfection. Very friendly owners, so, if you have the chance, go there and I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful owner and food cooked fresh as you wait. Authentic and worth every penny. And remember cash only.

The food is ALWAYS outstanding. The delicious dishes are more creatively crafted by an artist, rather than, but are still skillfully prepared by the chef! Mr John and his lovely wife are superfine people who make all thier customers feel like a member of the family at the Thanksgiving table. Best food in DC!!!!

I love this place. It is spicy - it taught me what spicy is, and how to love spicy food. The first meal I had here, I couldn't finish more than 1.5 jerk wings, but it was tasty as all get out and my companion with a higher spice tolerance downed all my unconsumed wings while I complained that the food was sooooooo tasty but I just couldn't handle the spice. Well that was about 10 years ago and nowadays I ask for extra spicy! It is sooooooo tasty whether it's extra spicy or not, and the beans & rice & cabbage are a wonderful complement.

I never write reviews. I stopped by for the first time and ordered Brownstew Chicken and chicken soup. I like soup and i must say this is Chicken soup my mom used to make. Pumkin, choo choo... just delicious. I will be back.

The curry chicken, rice n peas are good. The cabbage tastes like it's steamed to order. Parking is tough, try parking near Tacoma Station Neighborhood.
I have not been back to Spicy Delight in over a year. My issue was I could not get them to lighten up on the salt on my orders & I like salt. Up dated 09/26/2019.

First time there. The food is very good. Small space, but very personal carryout. I understand people come from several miles around Washington, DC metro area for a meal. Call to order ahead since orders are made fresh.

Amazing food! In my family we call the Jerk Chicken the 'Happy Hubby' because my husband loves it do much. But be warned, it's very spicy!
And Ms Spicy and Mr John are two of the loveliest people you'll ever meet.

Good morning, I have been going there for 18 years and enjoy eating the food. It's always fresh and the owners are just wonderful and I just love them. Don't hesitate to drop by and try the food.

Excellent carribean food prepared as ordered. Always fresh and hot. They DONOT accept credit/debit cards, but there is an small atm right at the entrance. Very nice owners. We usually order the oxtail and it is good. Ask for more spice if that's what you prefer.

The only place I go in the DMV for West Indian food and there are a few withing walking distance. They are the best. The food is delicious thanks to the incredible Chef John's and nothing brightens up the day like Ms. Spicy's incredibly friendly greeting. My family only eats there when they come into town. I crave the oxtail almost daily, especially with Chef's amazing pepper sauce.

I would drive down from Baltimore to grab lunch and/or dinner. The entire menu is delicious. My go to’s are chicken sandwich/beef tips/wings. The patties are good as appetizers (while you wait). It’s great. Friendly staff. Check it out.

Some of the BEST Jamaican food in the DMV and the name is true to the food. It's authentic homemade goodness. And a friendly and welcoming mom and pop shop. One of my favorite things is the jerk chicken wings 😛😛😛
