best fried catfish in the hood, in the district, probably in the whole dmv. if you live here you already know all this, and if you don’t it’s worth the trip to find out for yourself.
Glad this establishment is still around even with all the fancy changes in the area. Nice to have a taste of real cooking that serves up food that reminds me of grandma's.
Fried fish always on point. Simply put, if you're uptown and want to get some good food, can't really go wrong here at all.

Quick Update, was so good that we had to go back again. This time for fried Catfish and fried Trout. Pictures added from 2nd visit.
The fish and the sides (yams, potato salad and macaroni & cheese) were good. Which was a surprise to me because once upon a time the sides were
not great. They have improved. THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH....NO CARDS, CASH APP, ZELLE, ETC.
The fish was great and the sides of mac & cheese and greens were good. The cashier was very patient with me when ordering. The only drawback was that you had to pay in cash but this was not a problem for they had a ATM at the establishment.
Thanks to Mr. Chime Time vlogs on yt of the DMV, I've found the spot to get great meaty fish and other seafood fried to perfection. This place does great sides too.
The food is good, however it is a window to-go spot. You either have to wait in your vehicle or outside on the sidewalk. It takes a bit to get your order due to it being cooked to order.
I love, love, love this place! you can purchase fresh and take it home or they will fried it for you. Mac & Cheese is awesome! The fish is charged by the poundand you can only pay by cash. Take out only.

Great neighborhood spot for fresh seafood that you can have fried or broiled. The catfish was great and the onion rings were really good and fresh. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Limited seating and most orders are carry out.
Excellent fried shrimp and hush puppies. Will definitely be back!
