I've never really wanted to bother submitting reviews of restaurants, but felt I needed to warn other unsuspecting diners. This was the WORST Italian food I have ever had. Frozen tri-color tortellini with jar sauce. Risotto was laughable. Sausage was old and stale. Stay away. Waste of your money.

Worse Italian Food I've Ever Had. The owner is Indian, not Italian and the food outright was the worst excuse for Italian cuisine any restaurant could ever make. The marinara and alfredo sauces were straight out of a jar, bland and luke warm at best. The fettucine noodles were mostly under-cooked. We asked for a side of egg plant, without marinara sauce and without pasta, just a side of egg plant and we got egg plant parmesan with marinara and cheese, without the pasta, but billed full price. I truly can't believe this restaurant is still open stating they serve authentic Italian food, when is nothing more than pre-made bulk bought cheap food. I'll never eat at this restaurant again and encourage others to stay away as well.

Owner was very rude. We had a party of 10. Food was bland but our young waiters were very patient and nice. We noticed what looked like the owner(manager) pacing the street in front of the tables. He seemed very irate that we were not eating fast enough to empty his tables for more patrons. Sheesh.......He made threatening gestures toward the poor waiters. If staying at Omni Shoreham again, would rather eat at Italian Rest. next door or better yet, go downtown. Would not eat hear again.

Oh WOW! Where do I start? The service was amusingly awful. I think the tips are already included in the check merely due to the fact that nobody in their right mind would pay anything extra to the servers. The pasta served there is something a college student would make during finals real quick. But OMG, the chef salad was just spectacular! "Chefs salad with TUNA" was literally 2 sheets of lettuce, half a tomato, and the tuna was straight out of a can. All that brilliance cost 14 bucks. The crab cake for 20 was an upgrade. Made from imitation crab meet, it was served with "seasonal vegetables". The vegetables themselves consisted of 4 (literally) slices of boiled carrot, and 2 pieces of broccoli. No salt, obviously. And the bathrooms were an experience of a lifetime in itself. It seemed as though I had been transferred to a different culture, where bathroom are never cleaned and air-conditioning does not exist. Overall, I would only recommend this place to those, whom life has been spoiling too much, those who want to get the worst dining experience to appreciate just how beautiful their life actually is. For the sake of a contrast. Otherwise, please do yourself a favor and walk on by.

Filled with tourists from marriot across street. Food was bland, service average. Would not come here again.

Wouldn't know. I can't comment on the food here because when I called in an order for take out and said I would give them my credit card information when I got there (remember, this is take out, not delivery), I was told that they would start making my food once they saw the money. So needless to say I've never experienced the food here but I am familiar with the inappropriate stares and snickering from the waiters when I walk by every day.

Worst Experience EVER!!. This was the absolute worst experience I have EVER had!! Where should I start? Well, when we walked in they poured water in our glasses and did not offer a word of welcome. They did not ask what drinks we wanted and were not friendly whatsoever. We ordered our food, and when about a half hour passed we asked if they gave tables bread. The waiter asked if we wanted garlic bread so we said "Sure." The waiter asked if we wanted bread for 1 person or the whole table and we said the whole table, thinking that this was the house bread as restaurants normally give. About 30 more minutes passed and we had still not recieved our food or any word from our waiter to check to see how we were doing, refill our drinks, etc. We finally asked someone to check on our food and we were asked if we wanted some bread on the house. This confused us as we thought we got that before. Apparently, they charged us for 3 orders of bread when we asked for bread after the first 30 minutes. After the bread, it took another 15-20 minutes for our food to come out. 5 out of the 8 meals were brought out and the other 3 meals did not come out for another 5-10 minutes. When the meals finally came out they were only satisfactory. 3 people ordered the $15 raviolio meal which came out with 5 raviolios on them. They were finished their plate before the waiter came back to offer parmesean cheese to the meals. We asked to talked to the manager to talk about the service and one of the employees said we could talk to him. So, we told the man about the problems we had had and they offered free dessert. The free dessert ended up being 3 slices of cheese cake that were dispersed around the table for the 8 people in our party to share. Although the cheese cake was good, it was hardly a compensation. When we were all finished, we waited another 15 minutes for our check to come, which they did not split up like we asked. They also tried to charge us for 3 orders of bread which was a total of 9 slices. They finally split up the bill and we all of course did not leave a tip for the waiter. The man who collected our checks said that this was not right and started making inappropriate comments to our table. They followed us out and threatened to KICK one of the people in our party. After we all were outside one of the employees opened the door, stood on the steps and proceeded to give us the finger and make weird hand gestures. That was certainly the WORST experience EVER!!!

We were in the Woodley Park neighborhood to check in for the Avon Walk and in search of a quick dinner. Following a herd of Avon Walkers, we found Trattoria Italiana, an italian restaurant with a large front patio. Since the weather was nice, we took a se
