In the photos you’ll see the spinach pie that my wife had. It was flaky, flavorful, and delicious. I had the pork souvlaki platter and it did not disappoint. Along with those two meals we also sampled the roasted corn which was very delicious and had a good spice on it, and the baklava which has a nice cinnamon flavor to it.
It is a small restaurant where you order at an inside counter/takeout window and either eat on the patio or if you prefer to eat inside there is also a small dining area.

In town for a surgery and took a chance and boy was I blown away by the hospitality. I'm Italian and it reminded me of home, the owner was so welcoming and nice. Now let's get down to the food
.. it was AMAZING Greek food everything tasted fresh and delicious. Rice pudding (a family recipe) was the icing on the cake great way to end an outstanding meal.

Great Greek food in a cute little place. Picked up a gyro platter for takeout on my way home from work today and it was delicious! I didn’t care for the orzo that came with it, but the gyro meat, the bread, and the salad were all great. Really quick service and friendly cashier, I’ll be back to try some of their other stuff!

The Greek Spot is a consistent go to. The Avgolemono soup is so light and lemony, and all of the pitas are delicious. Add tzatziki is a strong recommendation. I also want to shout out the people who work there who are always so kind and greet you with a smile.

Been craving a lamb/beef gyro and after hearing many good reviews about this spot I gave it a try today. All things considered with this quarantine going on I had to take out the food which was simply delicious!
Great portion of meat in the gyro platter, and the fries and salad were delicious. Tzatziki sauce is homemade and light and a compliment to the meat, pita and salad.
Side note you must try that soda Mash which does not have a lot of sugar AND the baklava.

Went here with a friend because we wanted some Greek food. A cozy place right off of U St. We both had the gyro platter. Had a generous, very generous portion of Greek salad, orzo, pita, gyro. It was very tasty and we will be back for the price and portion size. I'm happy to give this place my business.

Got a gyro pita to go. Gyro meat was tasty, the veggies were fresh (although I wish there were more cucumbers), and the feta sauce was really good. The portion size was a little too small for me, though.

THE BEST Greek food in DC, at an affordable price, in a welcoming, casual & fun environment - Nothing beats the Greek Spot experience. My favorite picks are the chicken souvlaki platter, the amazing selection of old school sodas, and the rice pudding, but let's be serious.... Every single dish is equally delicious.

I have been in the DC area since the day I graduated High school over 10 years ago. I struggled to find something while at work that was both good, affordable, and consistent. This all changed when I stumbled across The Greek Spot, and is why my entire office and company frequents the place sometimes 3 times a week for lunch.
The food is clean, healthy, and I walk in knowing what I want each time. I switch it up, but I will say my personal favorite is the Grilled Cheese Pita, ADD Gyro meat. You will not be disappointed! Now the platters are great and I could choose from any and all sandwiches and be happy, but if your someone who appreciates a quality closer to your meal, never leave the Greek Spot without a piece of the owners mothers famous Carrot cake. I promise you that you will be thrown back in your seat when you bite into this moist and always delicious cake THAT DOSNT EVEN NEED ICING!
Greek spot definitely was the very first healthy option for lunch and dinner to come to the U street corridor far before the obvious new development in the community, and I look forward to it sticking around for as long as possible.
Remember me when you take your first bite of that grilled cheese on a pita, ADD GYRO, followed by a piece of that carrot cake, and don't forget to let your imagination go crazy with one of the best drink and soda selections I have ever witnessed!
