Andrene's is the best! So friendly, so fast, and super tasty! The goat is especially tender and delicious. Great neighborhood staple. Also, highly recommend the fries.

Saw the place on signature dish and had to visit! Everything was fantastic - not pictured Beef patty (must try if they are not sold out and if you like spicy food), and coco bread. The jerk chicken wings were so good, though they didn’t not want to sell me more than 12 on a fed holiday. The other highlight was the oxtail stew. My partner liked the goat curry. The owner Andrene was so warm welcoming. I highly recommend it! Parking was fairly easy during lunch time.

Andrene’s had great customer service, a nice stream of customers, a wide variety of menu items, and everything appeared available. My Caribbean parents enjoyed the meal so I definitely found the right place…The food tasted like home and exceeded expectations. It was a great experience overall and I plan to go back one day!

This food touched my spirit. Curry chicken with rice and Paes and cabbage. The flavor was perfect and rice was well done. I would give 7 stars.

A co-worked recommended Andrene's to me and am so glad she did, my Lord, everything was so good.
I bought food for me and my parents so I was able to taste various items; my favorite was the oxtails and curried goat combo, the beef patty, and the coco bread (which tastes amazing dipped in anything).
The woman who took my order was friendly, warm, and professional and gave an accurate approximation of how long I'd have to wait for my food.
The only con is that it's in DC and I live in VA but I would definitely make the drive when I have a Caribbean on my mind :-)

This is a neighborhood staple, consistently serves great tasting food, and has great customer service! I love great service. I'm a huge stickler for it. Owner and staff there are phenomenal. Haven't tried everything, but I love the curry chicken as well as the oxtail. My daughter loves the red velvet. Sometimes we go just for that!

I was on a work trip with a couple of coworkers and we decided to head over to Andrene’s for dinner. Something told me this was going to be good from previous reviews. I ordered the oxtail and goat combo, rice & peas and cabbage, coco bread and a beef patty. Wow! Oxtail and goat fell off the bone. Rice and peas could not have been better. But the cabbage, I think that was my favorite. The texture was at the point where it just finished cooking and yet had a slight crispness to it, not overcooked where it can get mushy. Portions were plentiful. Service with a smile is always nice too! They had slices of cake for dessert but there was no way I could have even attempted it.

Food was amazing! Fall of the bone oxtail, cheesy macaroni pie, cooked to perfect patties and the drink options were the best pairings. Upon entering you feel a vibe very reminiscent of the caribbean, good music, and even better customer service. My husband & I enjoyed our food and service so much.

This stuff is gee oh oh dee GOOD. Visiting from out of town and Andrene's was close by, but dang if I wouldn't come here all the time if I lived in DC. Can't speak to the service and atmosphere because my boyfriend was the one who picked it up, but food alone gets an 11/10. I got the stewed chicken with white rice and cabbage (pictured) and my boyfriend got the curry goat (he ate it all before I got a photo that's how good it was).

Came here for lunch after my wife and I attended a workshop. Since we're not from the area this place was the right choice. We ordered a (sm)curry chicken and a (sm) jerk chicken. Food was so good, especially with the redbean rice and cabbage and then topped with the plantains. Portions were great even for a small size. Cashier was very friendly and greeted us and everyone else that came in. All the flavors were blended very well and sat happily. Not finger licking good, bone sucking, platter emptying good. Wife and I left very happy. Just wish there was one at home.
