I was in heaven!! The Peking duck was absolutely insane, perfectly crispy and yet so tender! Also, the general tso tofu with fried rice was amazing too! I find tofu to be hit or miss, but this place does it right - crispy on the outside, and soft (but not too soft) on the inside, and full of flavor

Hunan Dynasty has a wonderful staff who are always warm and attentative. The food are fresh, colorful and delicious! Highly recommend! After Pandemic hiatus, we came back and were pleasantly surprised by the new menu and the new chef's culinary skills. The prices were reasonable, the service was friendly and warm, the food was delicious. 5*Japanese Cucumber Salad: with chili peppers and cilantros, mild spicy and crunchy. Healthy and flavorful! 5*Dry Pot Chicken 千锅鸡肉-Stir-fried chicken with onion, celery, green pepper in a homemade sauce: celery was cooked crunchy, and the chicken was tender. The sauce was a bit spicy taste which was great! I love all their dry pot dishes. 5* Dry Pot Cauliflower with Pork Belly 千锅花菜 (Cauliflower bites stir fried with bacon and chill peppers in an aromatic savory sauce): cauliflower was slowly cooked Al dente style. The sauce was light but tasty. I will order it again. 4.5*Steam Cod Fish 清蒸鱈鱼:cod was tender and sauce was light, delicious but pricey. 5*Vegetable combination with hot garlic sauce 鱼香素什锦: great vegetarian dish, the portion was big and it was delicious. I love the way they cook meat and vegetables. Meat always tender and vegetables Al dente style, always crispy and crunchy. Perfect!

Vegetarian friendly options! We had the Vegetable Combination and the General Tso’s Tofu. As soon as the General Tso’s Tofu was set on the table I was in heaven. Fragrant, flavorful, soft and delicious! Good portion sizes, too!

A truly pleasurable experience. Food made my soul happy it was so good. Beef Lo mein, Crab Rangoon and Sesame Chicken. Beef was super tender and noodles perfectly cooked, Sesame chicken was soft but crispy not a hard piece on the plate. Crab Rangoon was hot and crispy. This is a must visit while in DC!! You never know who you might run into sitting one table away was Senator Bernie Sanders.

We came here on an early Wednesday evening and where almost alone in the restaurant. The entrance downstairs isn’t much but when entering the restaurant on the first floor it is very welcoming. The food is excellent. I had fried rice withe combination of chicken, beef and shrimp and is was very good and to much. My wife had fried noodles with vegetables and that tasted also very good and my finished a little more then have of the dish. We recommend this restaurant to everyone who like Chinese food.

This restaurant didn’t look that inviting from the front and I wasn’t sure about going upstairs to get to it, but it was amazing! The service was excellent…very fast & attentive…and the food was delicious. We shared a bowl of hot & sour soup and the cucumber salad to start with and then ordered 2 main dishes. The Thai noodles & the triple something were our main dishes and they were very tasty! The plates were a good size too!! My husband & I highly recommend this restaurant…he wants to go back for lunch tomorrow before we fly back to the west coast 😊
