Came here for brunch with a reservation. I had the shakshukha and coffee. The portion is perfect for me but to most might be too small. The dish tasted good but compared to Tatte’s it was inferior. Service was good - our server kept refilling our coffee. The Christmas decor is pretty if that’s what you’re after.
I had a wonderful Fine Dining Experience at Alhambra located in the lobby of the sophisticated St. Regis Washington, D.C. I ordered from 3- course prix fixe summer restaurant menu and I wasn’t disappointed!
I couldn’t fault any of the 3 courses. From the beautifully presented and delicious 100 layer patatas brava , the juicy and delicious Aleppo smoked chicken and not to forget the baklava cheesecake “yummy goodness”.
And yes, my Algerian waitstaff, Sofiane was very courteous and friendly. Also, the manager, Michael is very personable. They both made my experience memorable with the top notch service. First time here and I shall definitely revisit. And thanks, for recommending the Cucumber mule.
I highly recommend if you want to experience Mediterranean cuisine at its best. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had my birthday brunch here with 9 of my closest girlfriends. The service, drinks, and food were great! A special shout-out to Vasiliki our waitress who was extremely kind and made sure we had a good experience. The manager was also great, we didn’t feel rushed at all. We even got extra dessert on the house because it was my birthday! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a classy establishment to dine in.
Really great experience here. Yasir and Jose were amazing waiters and Michael was awesome manager checking in us. Food was fantastic. The stay at St.Regis over all 5 star. Every single member of their team went above and beyond and were super kind always including the all the concierge folks.
Stayed at the hotel for five days and went for breakfast two times since we had $60 credit per day. The ambiance is beautiful and food was great.
I had The Capital Breakfast ($33) and my husband had the waffle. My breakfast came with two eggs, fresh juice, toast or you choice of pastry, bacon or ham, potatoes and coffee. The waffle and the chocolate croissant (pain au chocolat) was so delicious! My pastry was so moist yet crunchy on the ends and was incredible.
There weren’t enough staffs and looked very busy but they were all extremely kind.
Very nice breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious. Excellent service, gorgeous interior! A bit pricey.
Had a very enjoyable dinner. The service was pleasant and just right. Was slightly disappointed by the falafel appetizer portion size, but the falafel itself was delicious. Try the petit filet over the new york strip.
My wife and I treated ourselves to the Alhambra's luxurious Sunday jazz brunch. It was expensive, but well worth every penny. We had a fantastic time! The food, service, music and ambiance were all great. Everything is buffet style, except the main course which you order off the menu. We started with the raw bar, salad, cheese and charcuterie, along with bottomless mimosas. There is also a bottomless bloodymary option. We followed this with some small quiches and fruit salad, before our main course. For our entrees, I had a lobster benedict like dish and my wife had a fabulous chicken and waffles. We were stuffed after, but found a little more room to try some of the exquiset mini desserts. The jazz musicians were wonderful and the dining room was fairly intimate. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves immensely and we'll have to come back sometime to try their dinner service. We highly recommend this place for a celebratory brunch.
Come to this brunch hungry! So my husband and I decided to try Alhambra because it was featured in TravelZoo and had a great discount. We were not disappointed. The St. Regis hotel is beautiful and elegant...like many other places in DC, it is also a historical landmark. The service is very friendly and attentive....though we also came early. Our mimosas were bottomless and the hors d'oeuvres were tasty, but a few of the hot bar items were just lukewarm. The cold bar was excellent....loved the oysters. Then there was the entree....I ordered the lobster eggs benedict and my husband ordered the lamb shank. Both meals were so good. Just be prepared for the large portions and try to save room for those delicous desserts! :-)
This was a wonderful experience! Everything we had was superb. Thanks to our waiter Sofiane who had a beautiful personality, took the time out to explain everything and made our date night a fantastic one!
