I am not typically an avid coffee drinker like my husband is & he found this place last time he was in DC on business. He took me here recently & it has changed my entire love for coffee! Those working are incredibly knowledgeable. My coffee tasted just how she described. Buttery & creamy flavor! It was delicious!! And I even loved chris' dark roast with it's super nutty flavor to the beans! Deliciousness! Highly recommend this for the pour over experience!!

Don't have enough room to say all the good things; staff is quick, courteous and on point. Coffee is always just right, and though they are popular as hell, the wait is never bad.

Very unique coffee selection with great atmosphere and friendly staff. Tried the mint mojito and the wonderbar. If you are a black coffee drinker I would recommend wonderbar with no cream or sugar on ice . If you like the sweet stuff then go for the mint mojito.

I love Philz Coffee! Everyone here is so kind, and I'm able to work here, and feel so productive! They have so many outlets, and if you need to relax, they have comfy couches. My go to order is obviously a mint mojito! I don't normally order any coffee other than black drip coffees or black Americanos, but the mint mojito is so refreshing. This particular Philz has a lot of spirit for the Washington Nationals, since it's next to the stadium. There's a lot of merch for sale to rep Philz out in public, and they also sell local art that lines the walls with sale prices. The bathroom has no code, and is a single stalled non-binary restroom!

Friendly staff and adequate spacing for working remotely. An unusual coffee house since they only serve drip coffee(no espresso bar), teas, and a select few non coffee/tea options. Additionally they have a full stock of whole bean , along with a modern atmosphere.

Came to DC and heard many great things about Philz Coffee. On my last day go all the way to the Navy Yard and there was no internet so the store was closed... After talking with the ladies inside the store they explain what was going on and offered me two free coffees. Although it was a basic one and couldn’t have it Philz way, it was pretty good. Can’t wait to have the full experience!

Great place to grab a coffee and do some work. Plenty of different types of seating from high top tables, to normal seating, to comfy couches. Varied menu with hot and iced coffees as well as food options. Space for groups to work and friendly staff.

The aroma that welcomes and wakes up your senses as you walk in. The Mocha was prepare with oatmilk, just the right amount of brown organic sugar and fresh mint. Unlike others🌞 The service was great also!

I had heard of Philz but just thought it was another coffee place. I walked in during a free coffee weekend promo and had no idea how the system works. Apparently they are more like a bar where you order from the baristas first. That way you can discuss exactly what you want, get their expert advice... etc. Then you go to pay. I'm not the type of coffee person who needs this type of service so I'll probably just order from the app next time. The thing is... the coffee was amazing. I got the ecstatic with medium cream and sugar and found it to be perfect. I will probably dream about it. This location has a Buck Showalter snow globe which is a huge bonus considering proximity to Nats Park.

Awesome artisan coffees all with subtle flavors that takes a persons palate around the world. There is also a wonderful selection of breakfasts and pastry. And the atmosphere is cosy and inviting and the staff are pleasant and professional. I had a very nice time here and highly recommend this cafe before exploring the other sights that are close by like the Eastern Market on 7th.

This place has great coffee but even better staff. They always make sure your coffee is perfect. Never tired any food from there but the pastries look very good.
