This was my first time eating Laotian food and it was incredible. šš¾ It seems very similar to Thai food with a few notable differences, and the cocktails tasty and unique. The outside seating feels so serene for a restaurant in the middle of the city. Our waiter was very helpful w/ explaining each dish, and provided superb recommendations. I Will most certainly be returning!

We are actually regulars at this restaurant because it is that good! The food never disappoints, and thereās so much to choose from on the menu. Iāve tried almost everything and nothing has disappointed yet however, most recently we visited and had a server name Andrea and she was fantastic. A real sweetheart, that turned our regular dinner spot, a hidden gem, into a pleasant experience.

I tried Laos in Town for the first time and was not disappointed. I also was able to bring my dog along which was very convenient.
I had the pork belly app, chicken curry, and Banana Lagoon cocktail. All of which was absolutely amazing. When I got there, it took a little while to get water going from the first two staff members but as soon as Silvia came over, everything was perfect. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed.
I highly recommend!

The atmosphere was amazing. It is a chill, yet luxury vibe, which I really loved. The vegetable spring rolls were delicious and extremely fresh. I ordered the wok noodles, which had a nice flavor. The customer service was excellent. Silvia was our waitress, and was very knowledgeable about the dishes and incredibly accommodating with my coconut allergy. I would definitely recommend!

My server Silvia from Colombia not only provided a very courteous and great service, she also knew her menu very well. I shall definitely come back and ask the restaurant to make sure she is our server. The food was delicious, very clean and cooked just right. So glad we now have a Laotian restaurant in town.

Very good Laotian food! Atmosphere is very clean and interior was fancy. Definitely a good spot for a date night. Tried their famous fried rock fish, crispy pork, and crispy chicken. Loved rock fish definitely get that. But pork had a strong pork smell (sauce was nice) and crispy chicken could be more crispy. Some were cold and soggy. Our server Arm was nice.

Highly recommend the grilled chicken hearts! Across the menu, the flavors are powerful, sour, spicy, savoryā¦ the whole spectrum. Lots of acidity, lemongrass, fish sauce, and tropical fruit across the menu. Some dishes went a little far on the salt, though. Cocktails were top notch, very interesting.

I had the chicken orm today and it was delicious. It's a nice balance of sour and spicy. My server, Silvia, was really friendly and made sure I was taken care of. I hope to be back to try more of the menu!

my first time eating here and it did not disappoint. We got spring rolls, calamari, and crispy pork belly as apps and then for my entree I got the branzino. Other people in my party got other entrees and everyone loved their dish. Everything was so good and our server, Marshall, was very attentive and efficient. Will def be here again!

Half Lao individual writing this review- my experience at Laos in Town was phenomenal. Iād recommend a reservation, we were lucky to get a slot squeezed in last minute. I was hesitant at first because I sought authentic Lao food, but the chefs met my expectations. The food gives me home cooked feels and tastes great even with spicy kick. It wasnāt just spicy either, the pepper complements the flavor with a great balance. Sylvia is the best! She took care of us from beginning to end and even went out of her way to answer questions for me. Thank you for such a great experience!

I have never been to a āLaosā eatery. So this was my first experience. It kind of reminded me of Thai food. I did not have a reservation but they were able to see me pretty quickly for dinner on a Saturday evening. They were also pretty busy, but was accommodating.
The food was absolutely delicious. It was fresh and hot and was very tasty. The dishes I chose packed a lot of flavor.
The service was top-notch. We did not wait long for anybody to take our order or drink orders and the food came out relatively fast. I can normally clean my plate however, this time I wanted a little bit of everything so I was unable.
The next time Iām in town, I will be stopping in again. I highly recommend trying this out!

had a great dinner here! every time i come by i feel like they step up their game. i had the Suki which was a very interesting complex noodle dish and loved the calamari and the mango sticky rice. shoutout to our server Dionn!

I had dinner and drinks at Laos in Town on Sunday night, and had a wonderful evening catching up with a friend. The vegan menu was really good (I had Khao Yum Tofu Tod - it was crispy without being dry, and the flavors were delicious), our drinks were excellent, and our server, Marshall, was great. Thank you!

One of my favorite Laotian restaurants in D.C. that has a comfy interior and some delicious food. I highly recommend the Suki, a glass noodle seafood dish, and their Coconut Pandan cake for dessert. They have quite an extensive menu and be warned that some of the food is quite spicy.

My first time trying Laotian food and it was delicious! The decor is beautiful both inside and especially their outdoor seating. Because of the heat we sat indoors but it was still a great vibe. I got the chicken curry which was delicious! It was spicy too which I loved. I also got the iced dalgona coffee which was a good balance of sweet without being too overpowering.
It was a great meal and everyone seemed to love their dishes. We did make a reservation as a party of 7 for Sunday dinner but for smaller parties they seemed to have walk in availability.

Arm and Sylvia were the best wait staff ever! Food was absolutely incredible. I hosted out of town guests, and they were blown away. Best meal in DC! We will definitely be back.

Really yummy food and great cocktails and a friendly server named Lane who kept us happy and brought us endless delicious morsels like cocktails garnished with gold-leaf covered rose buds, crispy fried calamari, and coconut ice cream. Highly recommend this wonderful spot.
