Love this sweet cafe! The ice cream is amazing and we really enjoyed the fresh bruschetta and mini puff pastries. Our group of 16 felt very comfortable meeting here, and the owner Faith was super accommodating and friendly. Great spot for lunch, dinner, sweet treats or a casual meeting. Give it a try!

So far the best liquid nitrogen ice cream I've had!

I grew up eating home made ice cream so my taste buds are primed for quality. Love 'n Faith Cafe restores my belief and desire for this wonderful all-year round treat! The Love Juice is pretty awesome too!!!

This place is such a blessing in the neighborhood. So nice to have a casual and comfortable cafe with delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. I am in love with their pre- and post-workout smoothies, great reward and incentive to go to yoga or the gym nearby.

Such lovely place. I just came across this place on google and of course the liquid nitrogen caught my attention and i was not disappointed. They gave us a few awesome demonstrations and they were extremely friendly. If i lived in D.C. Id come back for sure! Also, great ice cream, absolutely delicious!!!

I brought my camp with large groups of kids to the cafe to hear how they make ice cream as part of a trip to Meridian Hill Park. Camper loved the visit and the tour and the staff were amazing. It was one of our best field trips we got to go on. We will be back. It is well worth a trip especially if they freeze the ice cream in front of you!

My son and I have been dining at Love 'n Faith Cafe on an almost every other week basis since 2014.
The food is superb!! The ice cream is the best in DC. The sandwiches, baked goods and hospitality are first rate. Delicious and a GREAT value proposition!!
When you are in the Shaw neighborhood I suggest you try Love 'n Faith Cafe. I unconditionally recommend it.

The quality of the food and ice cream is exceptional, and the owner always takes the time to make me feel like a guest in her home. Sometimes they're out of mango and the service is certainly not "fast food" but it's always worth the wait.
Really grateful they opened in this neck of the woods--a great place to take friends or just sit and do a little quiet work/reading while having a tasty treat.

Let me get this out of the way first; This is the best ice cream shop in DC. The ice cream is smooth and creamy and is always made fresh -- The Love n' Faith Cafe features a nitrogen cooling apparatus that freezes semi frozen cream into a much more acceptable hard ice-cream. This ensures that the ice cream is always fresh so there will be no chomping down on 5 day old ice cream that has had time to take on the smells and flavors of the back closet.
The cafe, while it excels at serving ice cream, also serves sorbets, smoothies, coffee, and light eats. I have only tasted their ice cream and their smoothies but look forward to trying their other menu items. On the ice cream side, their vanilla flavors are indulgent (light yet creamy) -- The cookies and cream was fantastic as was the vanilla bean. For some reason the chocolate was very good but not mind blowing (in my opinion). However, while their ice cream is fantastic -- their smoothies can use some work. I had the strawberry mint which came off tasting like a stick of sugar (this is also served as a sorbet which actually tastes surprisingly fine). The blueberry smoothie as much tastier but resulted in a horrifying blueberry murder scene in your mouth (so don't drink this on a date).
I haven't tried their coffee yet so I cant comment on that just yet. However it is useful to note that they serve espresso infused ice-cream. So in essence you have the opportunity to indulge on ice-cream and caffeine ... at the same time... Which I am pretty sure will result in many people developing a new unhealthy addiction in life.
Finally pricing -- for an ice cream shop its on the more expensive end at 4-9 dollars for a cup of ice cream or a smoothie. But as a every now and then treat, I believe its worth every penny.
Try this place out, its worth a taste!
