I was just curious to try these cupcakes because their texture and design look so yummy! I picked up a chocolate/vanilla which didn’t feel very fresh, maybe It’s because I got there right before closing and the cake was sitting there for long but it tasted like it was there all day! On the other side, the piña colada was so soft and yummy; I regret not taking 2 of this! I think price is fair for the amount!

The place may not look the best from the outside, but it's what's inside that counts! Top-notch product that will be my new go-to now that Ladure in Union Station is unavailable. I can't wait to try the wide selection of Macrons, and if they match the intrigue of the cupcakes, I will be re-visiting this review.

Ordered the assorted Vanilla, assorted chocolate and assorted. Pretty good cupcake if you are in to a more coarse crumb texture similar to a cornbread muffin. Some think the texture is dry some love it, it all depends on personal taste
In my opinion, the flavor that they need to eliminate from the menu is the one with the graham crackers at the bottom...it makes the cupcake super dry and undesirable.

These cupcakes are soooo good!!! I had not had them before but my friend surprised me with a delivery of them (very convenient that they do delivery) and I am SO impressed! They definitely beat Georgetown cupcakes. They offer unique flavors and ingredients, and they are super moist - made perfectly!
My favorite is the Blueberry Cheesecake - there is actual cream cheese/cheesecake inside. And the bottom is a graham cracker crust. YUM!
The carrot cake is also incredible! Huge raisins and walnuts inside, with a cream cheese frosting of course. So flavorful and good!
The bananas foster cupcake was also amazing. Tasted like real banana - not artificial at all. Again, so moist and the perfect texture.
I am very impressed with these cupcakes.
I definitely want to send cupcakes to my friends for upcoming birthdays and other celebrations. I also want to try their macarons because I've heard great things! They even have eclairs and shortbread cookies. I went on their Instagram page and now I want it all!
Also, delivery was super easy so it couldn't be more convenient for you to get some tasty, sweet treats.

Rarely do i write reviews, but the macaroons and cupcakes here are superb. I’m not huge fan of cupcakes but the strawberry champagne is delicious, buttery and moist. And the macaroons - holy smokes 🤤...i wasn’t expecting such flavor. The wait was long as there were 4 customers ahead of me, but well worth it.

I ordered a dozen cupcakes for my thirty - something year old daughter . The person taking my order was very courteous and patient. The packaging was impeccable . The cupcakes were delicious ! I had to order one special cupcake for my five year old granddaughter too. It was placed in a little box & my granddaughter was super delighted. I was more than satisfied.

Edit to original post: Not sure what has happened to the staff here. I usually have a great experience when visiting. The cashier was too busy on her phone not caring that I was waiting. If I didn't have an immediate need I would have went somewhere else. It's a shame because the cupcakes are good and the presentation is also good but the attitudes have you looking elsewhere.

I was shocked to see some of the negative reviews. The shop is small and I can imagine it gets overwhelmed when lots of people go in at once. I think it's quaint and the service was efficient. We tried two cupcakes (green tea and a cool dragon one) and six macaroons. Both types of sweets were excellent! I was introduced to macaroons by a wonderful pastry chef and the ones from the Sweet Lobby were some of the best I've ever had! Seriously. The texture and flavors are fantastic!

Black Owned bakery and I love that in Capitol Hill where there aren't all t of BOB. I ordered some cupcakes and I wasn't able to pick them up but I called that morning and explained my situation and the young lady was more than accommodating. She said come on by I'll have them ready for you. I came..and they were mind you this was all in an hours time. They Cupcakes were amazing. My fav was chocolate mousse and 🍋 but they were all good lol

Amazing cupcakes, great flavors and very moist. You will not be disappointed! This unassuming cupcake shop puts other more popular DC cupcake establishments to shame. Do yourself a favor and go taste some of the best cupcakes DC has to offer, the Strawberry Champagne and Sweet Potato are both a must try!

This was the cutest place (and love the clever name!). We arrived quite late in the evening after dinner at another restaurant, however the owner(?) was very friendly and welcoming. They were out of most of their products by then but we scored one of their popular bourbon pecan cupcakes. I really can't stand liquor in any baked goods but oddly enough, this cupcake was killer. The bourbon was subtle and somehow added a perfect layer of flavor to the rest of the cupcake. I also got a vanilla cupcake but wish I'd just stuck with the pecan cupcakes. Yummy!

This is by far my favorite cupcake place in DC. I consistently suggest folks go here for cupcakes instead of Georgetown. So I was very excited to order my cupcakes from here for my wedding. I was disappointed when I found out that they were going to charge me $9 more a dozen then was listed on their website in their wedding brochure. I explained this to the catering consultant on the phone. Walked them thru where to find this information on their website and was placed on hold while she made calls. I was told that was their old pricing and they had been working to update their website. I provided understanding but as a small business owner myself, I explained that I would have to honor the price on my website for any customer that called in. Particularly if it was my error. I also offered to eat half of the increase in cost rather then have them honor an outdated price. It bares mentioning that this pricing had been on the website since Dec of 2017. I called in Aug of 2018. She offered to give me free monograming. Which I declined as that was included in the pricing they had online but also I had no interest in that. She then offered a 5% discount which I accepted as I had my heart set on these cupcakes for my wedding but I am thoroughly displeased that a better offer was not made.

Every time I show a friend around DC we make a stop here. It's a great place to show off how well you know the city and with all the options constantly changing you can't go wrong. The floral macarons are by far my favorite.

I was coming back from a dinner nearby and decided to stop in. What immediately struck me was the chill atmosphere and the different varieties of macaroons! The main even however is the cupcakes. They are amazing! After looking at the flavor I couldn't decide on just one so I had to get 5 of course. The Bourbon Praline reminded me of home and was complex mix of favors but melded together perfectly. Will be going back soon!
