Good stuff! The whiting and catfish are delicious! Collards and Mac & Cheese are decent, but I definitely would come back for the fish. :-)

best fried fish in DC! best to go after the lunch crowd thin out, but still the best fish outside Lexington market in B'more!

If the staff are on it that day, its hands down the best fried fish in town. The staff however lack any real customer services skills. Sometimes that makes it a funny experience where you get a few good laughs and other times that makes it an annoying experience when you want to tell them to shut up and focus on your job so I can get out of here. Don't allow the place's appearance to discourage you. This may read as a bad review but the food is worth any mess you may endure while you wait for your food. Sometimes you may really wait because the location is really small and can get really busy. Typically that's one of those days the food is amazing.

Oh.My.God. I travel a LOT for work. This is BY FAR the absolute best fried catfish I have ever had. Do not be turned off by the small size or take out nature. Trust me. It is worth it. Every single mouth watering bite. No frills. Just damn good food. Cant wait to go back. Making this a regular stop.

I stopped by today on the recommendation of a friend. I had to take a moment or two to absorb its atmosphere, while discovering where the menu was. However, once I got the hang of it the young lady who served us was quite pleasant and helpful. I ordered a platter with sides, after she assured me that he platter would certainly suffice for our group. And indeed it did. The fish was good - no disappointments, and certainly sufficient. this staffer did not skim on us. I'd certain recommend this 'hole-in-the-wall' to anyone who wants good fish at reasonable prices, in generous quantity. One may have to strategically navigate especially with parking - but that's no news for DC.

The fried whiting was so good I couldn't take the time for photos. Next time. There's nothing fancy about this carryout. Just good eats fast. Most times there is a line so when you make it inside don't twiddle your thumbs or you may catch a look. Even with the line you'll get in and out without too much time lost. The reward is the hot food waiting for you.

Went at lunch time on a week day to the one in DC. Line was long but seemingly they were well prepared for the rush. I moved through the line swiftly and got out of the establishment. I havent been to this place in a few years and quickly realized they havent lost consistency nor the title for the absolute best fried fish spot in the area. Highly recommended, but i hear there is another one in Maryland that you should stay away from.

Their fried fish is peerless and the portions are huge. The place is very small and can only accommodate about 6 to 8 people. The rest must form a line outside, but the product is worth the wait.
