Good pho, overdone spring rolls, insanely sweet iced coffee. They were really busy when I arrived (1:30 on a Sunday afternoon) but it took just about half an hour for my order.

I randomly stumbled upon this restaurant a few years ago while on my way home from the grocery store and decided to take a quick pho detour, but Sprig & Sprout has been a staple in my dinner rotation ever since. They have an amazing selection of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options (as well as plenty of meat options for anyone accompanying us plant-based folks). The Roots, which is their vegan pho, is one of the best bowls of plant-based pho that I've ever had -- the burdock root-based broth is super flavorful, yet light and refreshing, and it's paired with a great selection of fresh veggies and fried tofu. The broth is the slightest bit sweet, which was a little unexpected, but that definitely doesn't stop it from being absolutely delicious! They also really load up the vegetable toppings, including the usual broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, and daikon, but also a few fun additions like tremella mushroom, which adds a wonderful pop of texture to the bowl. I would argue that the tofu is the weakest part of the entire dish -- it's a pretty standard fried tofu, with just a sprinkling of salt and pepper. Although the tofu does a great job of soaking up the burdock broth, the broth honestly doesn't have a bold enough flavor profile to really make a difference. The tofu is also usually added on cold, and by the time the broth warms it up, the noodles will have already gotten overcooked and soggy.
If I'm not in the mood for pho, I usually turn to their lotus goi salad. Young lotus root has been one of my favorite ingredients for YEARS and I genuinely thought that I would never get to enjoy it in the DMV unless I carted myself all the way to the Eden Center. But, to my surprise, the answer to all of my lotus root woes was a mere mile away from my front door. If you've never tried a young lotus root salad before, I cannot recommend it enough -- the lotus root is beautifully snappy and refreshing, and pairs beautifully with the daikon, carrot, cucumber, and other veggies. The dressing is also phenomenal, but I would recommend (1) requesting it on the side, and (2) only putting on 1/4 to 1/2 of what they give you because they're a little heavy-handed with the sugar. You can also top the salad with whatever protein you want to make it a more complete meal.

I recently ordered from Spring and Sprout through DoorDash and was genuinely impressed. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented, even after being delivered. The packaging was practical, ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition. Efficient delivery added to the positive experience. I'd definitely recommend them.

A Glover Park staple. One of our favorite places to grab Pho and a bunch of other delicious options. Try the vegan pho made with burdock broth and black pepper tofu!

The staff were good; not a fan of all these self order kiosks that are popular.
Food tasty but disappointed my bahmi bread was not fresh.
Not a fan of setan. The flavor was amazing but the texture seemed like it was for dog chews.

Food was delicious, pho beef broth was excellent. But this self serve kiosk was a nightmare. This place is not well set up for self ordering, too many choices.

Got takeout and everything was delicious. The chicken poppers are very bready. I was short a sauce but no big deal.

I live nearby, so I get takeout a couple of times a month. Sprig & Sprout is always consistent and tasty :) I usually get the Baan Mi and/or Pho. Good fried chicken too!

Second time getting take out and the food is great. Love the pho soup choices; the burdock root broth is a hit in my book.

Can never go wrong with some good tasty pho with a side of crab meat rolls. This weather lately definitely calls for some nice traditional pho.

I love this place. By far one of the best banh mi sandwiches I’ve had. They have other Vietnamese food. The place is nice and the food is reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend going here.

The owner greeted us as we entered and was very helpful and friendly. Vegetarian options abound and food is of good quality. Definitely good for a quick lunch.

Five star! Nice touch putting up the curtain up to block wind from the door. One suggestion: please do something about the slamming door. Good food. I will be back!

A local fast fresh iteration of the traditional Pho restaurant. The ratings are for this restaurant not as a comparison to pho restaurants in general.
The food came out fast, and the beer was cold.
While the flavor profile and the broths were great, I felt that the offerings were noodle heavy and meat light, as well as not having enough vegetables to provide the full sort of flavor profile you need. If you are eating in you do not need to order the extra sauces, cuz they are sitting there on the tables.

I just have to say this place has literally saved my life this week. I got really sick while in the middle of moving and ordered this with my mom who had never tried pho. She and I were obsessed ! The veggie broth is to die for and the veggies they include are so delicious. I’ve ordered 4 times this week as I’m convinced the food is healing me. Big shout out to you guys best pho ive ever had! I’m a customer for life ! Don’t forget to add the tofu fries!!
