Good coffee, minimal seating. We had to sit outside because there was no other indoor seating during the mid afternoon. I was surprised because it thought it would be a quiet time. There’s cute outdoor seating across the street, though. They have a lot of merch which is nice right now because it’s the holidays.
Good coffee and great environment overall. I will say the space is slightly congested, but I’m also big guy so I don’t think this is an issue for most folks. I got their standard drip coffee which was nice. I tried to use the restroom and for some reason it wasn’t locked from the inside and a man was using it. Safe to say, it was embarrassing. Regardless, I think it’s a neat little coffee shop with the wood theme and a cozy vibe on Capitol Hill. Would recommend!
My coffee journey began with brewing La Colombe at a Shakespeare Theater in Brooklyn. I was extremely happy to have found the actual coffee shop in DC!
You should expect a real rustic feel with the brick wall accents throughout the store. I adore an authentic espresso machine and this shop has it! I also love when you’re sitting in. You get a real coffee mug and some cute latte art❤️
My only suggestion is when I’ve come twice and ordered a latte with lite foam, on both occasions I felt like I was drinking a cappuccino 🥲I truly love more silky milk rather than foam.
But other than that… great experience👍🏾
I love coming to Le Colombe for my caffeine fix before heading to Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies. They offer lots of delicious coffee options and dairy alternatives. I recently tried the black & tan which was delicious and complemented their pumpkin cake very well. The service is friendly and the inside atmosphere is relaxing and offers a nice place to catch up with colleagues before heading to class.
Cute shop, good coffee. They don’t have many food options but the ham and cheese croissant was very delicious. Wish they could warm it up. But it’s otherwise very clean and staff was nice.
Great place to grab a coffee to go or to dine in. The coffees are made extremely well and they take the time to pay attention to detail. Great tasting coffee!
Weekend guilty pleasure. I bring my own salted butter to enhance the Americano. Absolutely delicious and smooth. Can't do dairy.
The coffee was good and the building is nice. Location next to the park is good. Average rating on atmosphere because there was trash on the ground around the cafe, many dirty tables, and dirty dishes sitting on the tables. Could have just been the time I was there.
Great coffee, hard to find a parking spot though. Since we were visiting DC area and we are always on a look out for good coffee, this is definitely one of our best coffee shops so far. Highly recommend, unfortunately they don't have indoor seating, so be ready for take out.
This was my first experience with Le Colombe. I like the product and it was a nice place to get some work done in between meetings. The espresso was very fresh and my americano was a delight. Not too busy at lunch time. I will be back again in the future.
