The pastrami has finally arrived in DC. I walked into the establishment and within 3 seconds, my nose let me know this was going to be special. As I stepped up to place my order, I caught a glimpse of the large smoker in the kitchen. This place is serious, I told myself. I ordered a pastrami on rye with a slather of mustard and stepped aside to wait for my sandwich. My anticipation growing, I once again peeked into the kitchen and watched this labor of love being assembled. The meat was glistening, which indicated it was moist, and the color of the meat was the perfect red a good pastrami should be. The sandwich arrived and I looked for the first open seat to start tearing into this pile of deliciousness. My nose had not lied. Salivating beyond control at this point, as I took my first bite into the meat, I experienced a sensory overload I haven't experienced in a long time. The smokiness, the tenderness, the saltiness, the juiciness - all were right on the money! I sat back and as I savored each bite, I knew, The Pastrami has arrived in Washington DC!
I will be going back here again and again!

Out of all of the places I stopped in at to grab a quick bite for a drink, I think this is my favorite. This place is just a cool little spot to grab some wings and tacos, have a beer or a cocktail, and hang out for a bit. I went the taco route and as a Texan, I approve. Cooked well, good corn tortillas, awesome queso fresco. Service was super friendly, fast, and this place wasn't super packed like so many others in the area. 5/5!

Tall Boy recently helped us host a soccer watch party for our community. Their staff were amazing and helped us with all our needs. Also the food was delicious! Highly recommend coming to tall boy for a happy hour or to host an event!
Great spot for ending the night. Solid tacos for when you’re drunk and you know that Crunchwrap you’re thinking about ordering will just make you feel even worse in the morning. Bartender was nice, had a good convo, and there’s some sidewalk seating as well.
Such a great place to get some comfort food, watch a game OR play a board game. They have decent inexpensive beer, good wings and nice grilled cheese sandwiches!!! Great place to hang out with friends.
Of all the amazing places to visit in this incredible place, visit this one - Leah is incredible - a dining experience to remember! The tacos are the absolute most delicious things ever.

I booked the after party for my wedding at Tall Boy and it was perfect. Elliot the manager was super responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. The night of the event went very smoothly–the bar tenders and food were great and the space was perfect. Would definitely recommend!
Tallboy hosted our elopement after party and we'd highly recommend them for private events! Fantastic value (especially for having the whole place reserved on a Saturday night), good food and drinks, and great vibes. They were very accommodating and flexible throughout - couldn't have been better!
This place is good at what it does. It's a beer, grilled cheese, and wing spot. It does all three of those things very very well. Looking forward to coming back again soon.
First time coming here early 2019, DIDNT think much of. In fact DIDNT even think would last. Seemed small, too small, to last in current location. A quick walk north of the Marriott Marquis, Courtyard, and Rennaissance hotels - Convention Center - on 9th St NW. Well guess what? Still here, and STILL excellent. Bar/ beer prices unmatched. $3 16oz Naragansetts for HH. Great wings. And the best grilled cheese sandwiches around. And opened till 2-3AM, including food until 1AM. Nothing fancy. Nothing special. Just there, and fair- when and where nothing else is. Highly recommended. Take a look
