Nice hipster atmosphere, but the food is bar food… just average. The usual hot wings and such. If you just want to hang out , its as good a spot as any. I was not a fan, but there was a crowd, so I guess my personal opinion is overridden by its obvious popularity 🤣 my only thought is: Don’t go hungry.
Good place to go, eat, drink and spend time on top roof with having DC view.
My favorite rooftop bar in D.C., offering unbeatable views of Adams Morgan. I love the frozen margaritas. I'm taking one star off because they kicked us off the roof to host a private event. Can't speak on the quality of the food.

Amazing Place. Sunday Brunch. It’s called a Hot Mess. Man was it good. Fried Egg over a boneless chicken thigh over potatoes with sausage gravy!
The Bloody Mary was excellent and an awesome beer menu with some great craft sour Beers.
Did not try the food, it looked tasty, the happy hour prices for fresh local draft beer are $5.50. The rooftop view is cool you have to walk up about 50 steps in the stairwell
We went on a Friday night when it was very busy at surrounding restaurants and bars. To my surprise we got in immediately and sat right away. We had a nice window seat and could look down and see the street and nightlife. The online ordering system was easy to navigate. After ordering drinks, they were almost instantly brought out. The food soon came and was piping hot. The burger was delicious and cooked to the perfect medium rare. Great vibes and service. Huge drink selection including draft beer.
deff recommend the agave room down stairs if youre looking for a curated experience, the roof top is a great place to kick it and have some drinks with friends, the 2nd floor has trivia on wednesday and thursday which we never win but always have a good time. highly recommend!
Bottomless mimosas woohoo!! 2 hours gets you a LOT of drinks if you keep up the pace 😉
Plus, the chicken was tasty and crispy, pairing well with the fluffy waffles and flavorful potatoes. It was all was really, really good. Adams Morgan is a fun area and this place wasn’t too crowded for a weekend brunch
Cant really comment on Roofer's Union as a whole but stopped in on a Thursday night for a few drinks and eats. We decided to sit in the rooftop lounge area which is covered and heated and has a bathroom of it's own. From what the bartender stated, the menu on the rooftop differs just a bit from the main bar/dining area a floor below. But since we just ordered wings etc. it was perfect. Nice selection of beer too. Had fun and would most certainly visit again
Great bartending staff, great trivia on Wednesday and Thursday nights, the rooftop view is really nice - highly recommended if you're in the neighborhood
