Intimate space with good food and Jammin jazz. What more could a jazz lover ask for. You must try the Guazetto Soup. Filled with shrimp, squid, salmon in a light tomato sauce. This is an appetizer portion that is only $11. Just right for a light late nite bite at the bar.
Small imitate place. The food was excellent! The music was great! I had the blackened salmon with shrimp wrapped in bacon. My husband had the cajun chicken pasta. My U Street punch was delicious! Our server was wonderful! Check it out- You won't be disappointed!
Went on a date night w/ my Fiancé and had a GREAT time. The lady greeting and taking us to our table was soo friendly that I Automatically fell in love w the place. Food is AMAZING, music was great, and the staff were all so kind and on top of our orders. 10/10 definitely recommend.
Great place to enjoy a drink and excellent music. The staff took excellent care of us. The space is tight and reservations are recommended. We will be back!
We absolutely loved this restaurant.
Pros
The food was delicious.
The band was incredible.
The customer service was great.
We made reservations and there was no wait upon arrival.
Did I mention the food was delicious lol?!
Cons
Be prepared to pay because it is costly for entrées and drinks.
My fiance ordered the ravioli which was over $30 and she only received about 5. It wasn't fulfilling at all.
They include gratuity automatically in check.
Overall we loved Jojo's and definitely will go back when we're in the city.
Took my hubby there for his birthday, when we got there it was packed. We had reservations but still had to wait 25 minutes for the next available seating Honestly because the atmosphere was awesome and the hostess was attentive with a pleasant demeanor, it was worth the wait! The food and drinks are amazing... let's not talk about the music 💯 can't wait to go back!
A fantastic place with wonderful food and vibes. We got a table close to the band. All of our dishes were delicious. We had the New Zealand mussels, Crispy calamari, the Lobster ravioli, Cajun pork chop & shrimp, and the New Zealand lamb chops. Reserve your table in advance. Definitely recommended!
I’ve been trying to find the perfect day time to eat at Jojos and it was worth the wait!
Let’s start with the pros:
It’s very intimate but with such a welcoming feel. I had the calamari for a starter and that’s probably some of the best calamari I’ve had, followed by the lamb for the main course and bread pudding for dessert. Everything was incredibly delicious.
For drinks, I had the ginger mule and another cocktail (already forgot the name)
Let’s not forget about the live music while I was finishing off dessert. *added favorite*
My only con is that our server had a bit of an attitude but my friends and I chose to ignore it because the food was incredible, service was fast and the other server helping her was super sweet.
Overall, such a rare gem in D.C.
4.5 stars but rounding up because the food!
We came here for happy hour, and we thought it was amazing. The food was cheap, I got the ribs and it was only $10 and came with fries. What a steal! Ribs were great and I would 100% come back for some more.
Also $5 happy hour drafts and some other cheaper drinks like cocktails. We all loved the food and the love music was great too. Would recommend.
The Blackened Salmon w/ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was delicious, but the ribeye was fattier than I would’ve liked. Regardless, the service was great.
The ambiance is very intimate. I didn’t know the restaurant is multi level. The live music is on the first floor, and unfortunately, sitting on the second floor took away from the experience. Call ahead before making a reservation to see if they have preferred seating options.
While visiting Washington, D.C. for my husband's birthday, I decided to make reservations at this Restaurant/Bar Jazz club. The ambience was romantic and the live band was an added plus. The band even played Happy Birthday to my husband and another guest. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place r family and friends.
The live music is definitely the best asset of this restaurant. Its 10 dollars for the the music. We were expecting more on the food, the fries and apple tart were the best of all. The ambiance is so cozy and inviting. I’ll come back for the music and the desserts.
