Their food is not the best. But it's a nice neighborhood place to go hang out. The bar is not very big but it's honestly better to go there to drink vs to eat. The bartenders are super nice and the restaurant itself is pretty and gives a good vibe. They have a rotating wine selection which is pretty good. There are often lots of kids/families here so it's not exactly romantic or fun but overall is a solid choice for the area. P.S. whyyyyy do you use coconut oil for your French fries it's so gross and low-key ruins my palette for any other food afterwards ☹️

Nice French restaurant in Brookland, DC, if you want to avoid going downtown or to the usual hangout areas. Food is delicious. A bit pricey but worth it. The French toast was great!

Cute little french inspired brunch spot in NE DC. A nice alternative to the craziness of the dc brunch scene. The menu is small but tasty.

Great brunch spot. Came here for my sisters birthday and it did not disappoint. Food was great, and served fast. We got the biscuits and honey butter as an appetizer. It was good but the biscuits are very small. The French Toast was on point, thick, not soggy, with berries and a fresh whipped cream. The potato hash and salmon eggs Benedict also got high marks. Service was fast and friendly, and it wasn’t overly crowded like most DC brunch spots. Will definitely come back.

Fantastic food in a quirky and fun corner restaurant. The cocktail game is strong and the food is really quite something. Go for the French 75, stay for the sharable muscles and people watching. A hidden DC gem.

I was craving a fat burger and Primrose really delivered! Was able to get seated at the bar immediately with just walk in. Highly highly recommend the smash burger and it was a sweet bonus that it came with a salad too. Don’t recommend the orange juice as it tastes like grocery store juice. The decor and ambiance is very, very nice. 20% service fee automatically calculated in total.

I live across town and will make the journey to come here. It’s been consistently delicious. I especially love when they jazz up the dishes. Like putting nuoc mam in the cauliflower. The scallion pancake with mapo pork sauce was a winner. The green curry mussels were superb. I didn’t love the French onion soup. But probably because it was made with a mushroom broth, which was fine but never gonna be as good as a meat broth. The wine is always good. I don’t go often so always excited to see what new things show up on the menu. Update: just enjoyed beaujolais night and it was lovely. Sebastian opened the Morgon from 2020 and it was tasty!!! I went full on French with the pâté and steak frites, which never disappoints.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasing. They have a good mix of meals prepared in-house and lots of good appetizers to get the meal started. They also offer some unique cocktails that go very well with all of the meals. The service was great and we left satisfied with the overall experience.
