What a delightful little spot to gather with friends for apps & cocktails! In DC for the night and met some besties in their neck of the woods - Capitol Hill… easy access from metro. Welcoming atmosphere and fun history of the joint shared by the hostess. Love old speakeasy’s! Nice menu; lots of tasty options to share and a fun, creative cocktail menu. Great service & decent prices for this area. A neighborhood gem!

Exploring spots aroundDC we found this restaurant. Food was good though we were not fans of the lemon flavor on the Chicken and Waffles. Service was good enough; but the experience was not outstanding.

How was this my first visit? Came here for some girl talk after pedicures and it was perfect. Very classy elegant place perfect for cocktail date night or hang out seesh. And the shareables were perfect for 2! We got the chacuterie plate, the deviled eggs, and both of us got the bartenders trust fall. My friend got a gin based drink while i got the anklebitter which is a rum based drink that shouldve been called the ankle spreader. My word. It was so good. I very rarely give 5 out of 5 but this place earned it. I can't wait to go back!

We tried ragu bucatini, seared foie gras, and gram's roll with a bottle of wine.
Overall the portion was more than enough for three people. If you like foie gras I highly recommend theirs. The combination of pasta and roll was perfect! For me ragu sauce was little too salty (fyi I usually eat less salty food than my friends) but it was good with the sweet buttery gram's rolls! The others with me were a huge fan of this roll (I'm not a big fan of buttery bread in general but yes it was good).

Absolutely splendid meal from start to finish with attentive and informed service in this warm, dimly lit saloon-style farm-to-table new American restaurant.
We started with a quartet of creamy deviled eggs accented with crispy onion, on a delicious bed of pickled carrot and radish slaw.
Next we shared roasted bone marrow with grilled bread, accompanied by pickled pistachios and for seasoning, some coarse salt. The extraction of the marrow is a bit of an experience but the wait staff are excellent guides so don't feel shy about asking. The reward was worth it, the fatty marrow with a pinch of salt on the bread was everything.
Next was the cucumber and feta salad in a gorgeous green lemon balm emulsion with chive, fennel and benne seeds. Vibrant with cool flavor, it also served as a palette cleanser from the marrow.
For our mains, we split two dishes: the burger and bucatini.
The burger with white cheddar and smoky bacon was perfectly cooked and literally dripping with indulgent flavor, and the fresh lettuce, tomato and onion added balance and texture to each bite.
The bucatini was a savory delight, with a perfectly ground and blended dry pork ragu, accented with chives, garlic chips, and and sarvechhio. It needed nothing more, a fully complete and engaging dish.
We finished the meal with the candy bar dessert, with caramel and chocolate mousse bounded by thin and crunchy shortbread. Heaven.
Throughout, I sipped on a very boozy cocktail called the Ambisinistrous, with bahnez mezcal, rye, campari and foro amoro. Registers like a Boulevardier. Strong but well balanced.
Staff was extremely friendly with collaborative service.
Recommend highly. Can't wait to return.

Very nice location for lunch or breakfast. Our server was very friendly and took care. The food selection is classic but the food itself is very delicious and cooked very well. Nothing to complain and highly recommended if you are in the area. Lots of people where having brunch. Looked also very delicious.

Absolutely LOVED this place! Went twice in one day. Nash and Nolan were our bartenders and they took SUCH good care of us. Took a risk and ordered the bone marrow. Wow! Bucatini and lamb belly were also incredible. My husband and I both agreed this was the best meal we’ve had in a very long time. Excellent service too! We’ll visit again!

My wife and I just happened upon Beuchert's while searching for a place to have a couple drinks Thursday night. We walked by, then decided to turn around and give it a shot. One of the best decisions of our vacation. We were served the best cocktails we've ever had. The bartenders are certainly some of the best craftsman around, and incredibly knowledgeable. They told us the history behind what they were mixing, and made spot on recommendations. They made us feel like we'd been friends for years, and even left us with a great netflix recommendation. If you go to D.C. and don't visit this place you are doing yourselves a disservice.

I've been to nice restaurants all over the world, and Beuchert's is still at the top of my list for incredible food, drinks, ambiance, and service. They are true artists, and go WAY out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful experience. It's rare to find a place with such a beautifully crafted menu and atmosphere that isn't pretentious. They're the perfect mix of classy yet casual, upscale yet relaxed... and the food will knock your socks off!

The meals were incredible, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the chef was like a magician. The drinks and wine were perfection and the dessert, well I'm still dreaming of that.

There is absolutely no way you could go wrong by stopping into Beuchert's... Unless you hate flavor and satisfaction. In that case, you might be disappointed. But, barring the potential for you having terrible taste in cocktails and food, you will more than likely fall in love with this venue and become a regular!

There is a reason that this place is my husband's and my go-to date night restaurant. The food is INCREDIBLE. The drinks are fantastic. The ambiance is vintage and whimsical (I love the buffalo heads!). And DID I MENTION THE FOOD?!?!?! I'm almost hesitant to write this because I know once people discover it, we'll never get in again.
Chef Markert is a genius from his menu ideas straight through to execution. Every single dish was superb, and the summer squash was straight up on par with the meal we had at Arpége in Paris (a 2 Micheline star restaurant!).
You will not be disappointed with ANYTHING you order off the menu, but if you have a chance to ask one of the cooks for a recommendation, you'll never be steered wrong.
