Stopped by on a very busy Saturday afternoon (Dec 23) and Edwin gave great advice and customer service. He suggested I get the three taco combo. Be sure and ask the server for TaKorean's flavor picks! They've got killer combos ready. I savored three soft corn tacos, each loaded with different meat + slaw options. Topped 'em off with lime crema, Korean-style salsa roja, and sesame seeds.
My fav was the pork and kale slaw. All three were delicious, but that one was my top choice. The flavors were very distinct. Next time we go to Union Market I’ll encourage the family to try it. We will be back.

Very very delicious rice bowl. It is a fantastic combination with sour cream and gochujang on top of rice and bulgogi. Staff was very friendly! I visited Navy yard location but I like Union Square better because of the staffs. Same food but better service.

I received this as a good gift from my partner, so no decision on food was my own. I received 3 tacos, I think a mix of pork, chicken, and steak. The Korean flavors with the taco vessel I thought worked really well. The toppings were plentiful, great flavors and textures. I would totally order this again!

Consistently really great food. I usually build my own bowl and it's always SO good no matter the combo— the food tastes fresh and flavors/options all mix really well together. Service is quick and staff have always been nice!

TaKorean is a great addition to union market. When I lived in the DMV it was a regular post work stop with colleagues and friends, and when I visit the area Union Market and TaKorean are one of the first places I return to eat. It's easy to cook up Korean meats and slap them in a tortilla, but TaKorean takes it further. The banchan toppings, the sauces and the marinades on the meats light up my life. I love the variation you can get in spice level here. TaKorean is a great sport for a casual date, happy hour with friends, or a weekend adventure with the family.

I didn't know what to get, so I asked what their recommendation was. The shop attendant suggested getting the tacos with the three protein options (chicken, pork, steak), three different slaws, and all topped with gochu-pow sauce, lime crema, cilantro, and crunchy shallots.
I think I liked the pork the best. It was overall delicious. I also got a mexi-coke.

My favorite was the steak with the Goju-Pow sauce. Just a tad spicy, with good flavor. Had the chicken and the pork but steak was for sure the best one. Give it a 4 for the fusion and flavor of the steak. Heating the tortillas up on a pan and giving them a more crisp texture would have up’d it to an 5.

I really liked their unique options and my bowl was delicious all around! I was suspicious being I can’t do too spicy food and I’m vegetarian but this bowl met all my needs :)

Takorean is my go to in Union Market. The slaw bowls are my favorite but Tako Tuesday is a close second. The meat is always flavorful and the toppings adds the perfect finishing touch. Your palette will be in heaven

Located within Union Market, this Mexican-Korean fusion restaurant does a fast build-your-own taco/bowl that is similar to poke places. They have a wide assortment of toppings and have vegetarian options as well. The food tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend and would go back again!
