Chill atmosphere to enjoy some great BBQ!! Excellent thin sliced bbq beef brisket!! The pulled bbq chicken was good, a little dry but add some bbq and good to go! Great baby back ribs! The mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and fried yucca great sides! The service was excellent and very helpful!

We were visiting the DC area and looking for a good place to get barbecue and saw Rocklands online and thought we would give it a try. So glad we did their barbeque chicken was really good. The pulled pork was also great. We had the Mac n cheese and baked beans both were also very good. It's by far the best barbecue restaurant I've found in the area. The staff were so friendly and kept asking if we needed anything else. We will definitely come back every time we are in the area it's well worth going a little out of the way to get something so good.

Amazing!!!! Was looking for bbq and decided to try this place out because it was pretty close and did I get lucky! Wow!!! The brisket was amazing! The employees were great, I'll totally be back to try out something else soon and cannot wait!

Visiting DC area,my son told me I had to have the “Rockland Pearl”. Mac n cheese, chopped pork, baked beans, all in a cup.
It was as delicious as it sounds.
So damn good, and so good for you. Almost too much for one person!
Nice little casual restaurant, not the friendliest folks (no eye contact or even a smile) but I wasn’t here for the conversation. Definitely recommend!

This was my first time trying Rocklands and I was very impressed. I’m more of a Texas-style BBQ guy and this was more Carolina style but DELICIOUS. I got the chicken and ribs combo for $16.99, and as you can see form the pic attached it was a generous portion that came with two sides. The chicken was moist and the skin was flavorful with some decent char. The ribs were also great and they’re quite large. Next time Ill try their mac and cheese as I’ve seen in several reviews that it is quite good.

First timer here... I was Hungry. Typed in BBQ "top rated"; sort by distance: Rocklands showed up with 600+ 5* reviews, seemed like a safe bet. Oh myyyy that was an immediate awesome choice. Will be back, maybe even tomorrow.
First moment we walked in it was already an awesome ride with a big smile greeting. This friendliest guy was not at all thrown off by an immediate question of what was his favorite dish was. He didn't blink an eye and responded back with his three meat platter and ribs. His partner in crime Allie also had some helpful recommendations of the winter stew and collard greens with pulled pork.
Did I mention they had whiskey? Like 12 types of bourbon and whiskey. Really great red 🍷 wine. Draft 🍺 beer
The food came out very quickly and everybody was just super friendly.
Each of us was very happy with our own dishes. It was really good to taste different textures and authentic flavors. The meat Was Juicy and had a really good flavor of balanced seasoning and good quality ingredients. The collard greens were perfectly tender but not overcooked. Very juicy. The stew was very chunky and you could really taste each ingredient without a mess of a sauce.
They had a very versatile selection of sauces anything from sweet and tangy to very spicy.

Everything that i have ordered from this spot has been delicious. You would not be disappointed. I normally order the three meat platter, the grilled salmon salad, or the hot Italian sausage sandwich w/ peppers and onions on a pretzel roll. 10/10 would recommend.

Walk-up barbeque joint with lots of side options. I got the brisket, broccoli salad, and macaroni and cheese. There's fresh bbq sauce, pickles, pickled onions and jalapenos, and tons of hot sauces and seasonings to choose from.
It's a solid classic bbq spot.

As an Alabama girl, I’m always a little hesitant of bbq outside of the south — Rocklands definitely passed the test.

The food is a 10/10! I had previously given Rockland's a 4/5 but I am changing my review because they fixed the long wait times during dine in. Rockland's is one of the best BBQ restaurants in DC.
