Decided to explore D.C. so we had to go to the best place for brunch. We were not disappointed. A down to earth little hole in the wall with a lively atmosphere. While I finished mine, my friends had a bit of trouble and that's not a easy thing to do cause those boys can eat. When I come down again I know where I'm going for breakfast
I make it a point to dine here every time I’m in D.C. Typically a waffle, scrapple, two eggs over easy, and a sweet tea. A special atmosphere with a mixture of tourists and locals. Always wonderfully served by the staff. Make Lincoln’s Waffle Shop a must visit when you are in the city.
I loved this place. It was super crowded and we had to wait. The service was great and the food was delicious. Why would you come here and not get the wings? Get the waffle and fried chicken. It's the name of the place! We all also ordered eggs and I just had to get the corned beef hash. I liked the feel of the place and the guys working couldn't be any nicer.
A lot of history .. Always come back with Stuff... As many times as we have been here .. We always stop in and check out the new stuff.. and it's near the WC.. LOL..
We decided to eat breakfast here three times last week. Great food, moderate prices, and funny waiters and staff. Definately a diner or dive class of restaurant, but clean and organized. Staff has fun, even when jam packed and runs a tight ship. Food comes quick and you won't be disappointed!
Very friendly and attentive staff. This is a basic American breakfast spot that offers a communal table type of experience. Good portions for the price.
I love hitting up local, no-frills restaurants when I travel and this place seemed to tick all the right boxes for that.
The service was so friendly and attentive. Perhaps this was because I visited during a quiet hour, but I was greeted and seated as soon as I arrive at the restaurant, and throughout my meal the waiter made sure to refill my tea cup with hot water whenever it got less than half full.
Side note the waiter hilariously dug around his pockets and pulled out a bunch of butter packets when he put down my waffles.
Sadly the food was disappointing. I was hoping for a crispy waffle but it was floppy and sad. The scrambled eggs were overcooked as well.
The friendly service redeemed the restaurant a little, but the food was truly a let down.
This is one of those awesome restaurants you would walk right past if you didn't use Zomato and see the reviews and comments about it. It isn't much to look at but stays busy. Staff friendly, asked us where we where from, joked around, and was attentive. Food comes out quick! I had chicken wings and waffles. Chicken wings where fried perfect and had a nice crisp crunch to them. Waffle ,while good, was really thin. I expected a thicker waffle, but that didn't detract from my liking my meal. If you find yourself close to Fords Theater at meal time, check this place out.
Better than I could've imagined. Don't let the appearance fool you. Good food, better service. I would highly recommend this spot for a quick breakfast.
What is more perfect on a Sunday morning than a stack of Pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs and bacon? Don't forget the coffee on the side! Best pancakes I have tried in DC!
The service was amazing! Everybody is so friendly, food came out fast and was very good! Prices are extremely reasonable. This is the local hot spot as it was packed! Can't wait to go back again.
If you're looking for a cheap and delicious breakfast - this is your place!! Seating is super tight so it feels almost like you're all sharing one big table! The service was fantastic and the meal was equally as good. We officially found out breakfast location for this trip! Two thumbs up from Texas!!!
Absolutely cleaned my plate ! Ordered 2 waffles, a cup of milk, and chicken wings, it was some amazing breakfast food. I'm on a limited schedule as this is a day trip for me and I looked across Google Maps in the downtown area near Metro stations and this seemed like a local family business that I could support for years to come. There was however this extremely annoying homeless woman at the bar with me talking up a storm to herself and kept on making racial remarks and talking bad about the food while the servers were gone which made me want to move as well as others but that's not the owners fault. The staff was nice and presentable and has a great business going. No line to get in but I presume there is one at some points of the day because a sign at the door says "Line starts here". Overall, great food, pricey but it's DC, and highly recommend for brunch. Will visit again soon if time permits !
Great place at reasonable prices! I went on a very busy Saturday with a line outside but they kept everything moving smoothly and the wait was short. Once I was in my server Jason was very attentive and took my order and brought out the food quickly. The food was very good, the waffles are huge! Would recommend if you want a quick bite before heading in to the Smithsonian.

Nice place for breakfast in Washington DC. Great location. Love my eggs and bacon. Just in front of the Ford’s Theater and besides the house (museum ticket required) where Lincoln died in April 15, 1865.
Nice little place to grab some breakfast. Service was quick and food tasted great. Can definitely recommend the wings. Not exactly the cleanest place but that is not what they are going, it's a family run joint. You can tell they are all about getting people in and getting them food quick.
The waffles were so-so but the corned beef hash and eggs were delicious. It has a cool atmosphere. Most people sit at wrap around bar seating so you end up talking to your neighbors. Food and service was fast. Overall a good place to get breakfast!
A small local diner right next to Ford’s Theater. Very nice place to have breakfast on a Sunday morning. ☀️
I got waffle with two fried eggs and some hash browns with a cup of coffee. Great food quality! 🍳🧇☕️
The staff was so kind and welcoming. One of them was very hot tempered though. But I assume it’s because of how busy they are during the day.
Keep in mind it’s extremely busy on weekends, so I’d recommend you go during on weekday mornings if you got the chance.
Incredible food and reasonably priced. A local whole in the wall, but an amazing family run establishment. There was a line of about 10 people outside but we were seated and eating in 20 minute. We had waffles, eggs, bacon, salmon cakes, and scrapple all cooked perfectly. Great breakfast spot!
Great, Warm, Friendly Atmosphere. Kind Service. Delicious options for a simple breakfast. Will definitely be back for the atmosphere!
A great, get-what-you-expect diner in the middle of the city. The menu is exactly what is says, very friendly servers and chefs, unlimited coffee refills open early (6am) and no crowds early in the morning. Bar seating or tables. The environment is kinda gritty, but that's just what you're looking for in a diner, so five stars because that's what I was hoping for. Food was good, as expected. Gave me a banana for a buck to put on my waffle and it was delicious.
Love finding great diners on trips. Unfortunately I didn’t think to take pictures but my family and I loved it here. Wings and home fries, chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and waffles with sausage and eggs and bacon. The staff were quick and ready to offer an opinion if your not sure what to get. There was another family who sat next to us at the counter and it was there second day returning for breakfast. Think that says enough. Right across the street from Fords Theater.
