Some of THE best French toast I've ever had with wonderful service in an amazing atmosphere. This restaurant makes me want to stay at the Carlyle.
Frech toast was so delicious. Nice and custard-like in the center and tasty toasty on the outside.
Coffee was good and hot and continuously topped off by the helpful and friendly staff.
Can't wait to come back for more breakfast and lunch and dinner and cocktails.

This place is located inside of a hotel and has an old-school fine dining vibe to it. It's a great place to go if you're a fan of wines. The menu is very diverse with excellent seafood and meat options for both starters and entrees. I wasn't very impressed by any of the starters that I shared amongst my party, but my entrée was beyond excellent. Their Australian lamb chops is such a well-balanced meal. There's tons of flavor with a good amount of fat and acidity. I'd come back just to have this dish again. Service was also very friendly. It'll make for a pricey dinner once you add multiple courses and drinks, which I don't mind if I'm having an amazing dining experience. The Riggsby gave me 70% of an amazing experience, so I wouldn't deter anybody from giving them a try.

What a pleasent surprise in the neighborhood. Had to run a errand ( charge the car) lol and decided to grab a early brunch. Atmosphere is throwback 40's-50's. Great bar. Very good service. Price point with a bloody Mary $$. Had to spice up the Mary but was still well made. Enjoyed it. Would go back again next time with a few friends for sure.

The Riggsby was the perfect place for a cozy Valentine's dinner. The food was tastefully prepared...lobster bisque starter and squab and sweet potato puree for the main paired with a mild burgundy wine made for a delicious feast. The atmosphere is cozy but still lively with the rhythmic shaking of martinis being made...all the while lulling guests to a nice happy place!

Through the keyhole door find a hotel restaurant that defies your expectations of a hotel restaurant. Everything from apps to desert we're delicious. Classics like fried calamari are made unique with cornmeal crust and remoulade sauce. They were also very willing to split dishes which is not typical.

My boyfriend and I went to the Rigsby for Valentine's day. The place was very charming and classy. Not the fancy tapas place so common in DC. There was a set menu with Lobster soup, seafood platter, pasta with crab, red wine risotto and beef, beef Wellington (in a crust with mushrooms, potatoes and puree) and a set of small deserts. Everything was delicious! The waiters were wonderful too. It is one of the best restaurants I went to in DC

Very good food in a "Harvard Club" kind of atmosphere. Not the cheapest place ever. Most mains goes from $17 to $40 range. Still, we really enjoyed everything we got to. Great place to take business colleagues or customers in town to.

Had a delicious birthday dinner at The Riggsby! The food was great, our server was warm and friendly and the deserts came with a candle for me to make my birthday wishes. I will definitely go back for another meal, maybe a staycation!!

Aaaaamazing from start to finish! Portion size was nice for the three of us. Started with the Jalepeno Hushpuppies, Calamari and Muscles. For the main course, two of us had the Pork Chop (cannot rave about this amazing dish enough) and one had scallops. Finished with the apple pie and the pot brownie. Great service too. All around lovely experience.

What I loved about our visit last night was the careful attention to the details. The cocktails were spot-on, the service by Nana was measured and just right.
The food was some of best in the past could of years. Sous Chef Amy was charming and I could see that every dish was "carefully"...inspected, and that makes a huge difference. Fresh, spirited and well prepared.
Thanks to the staff, it was worth the Uber ride from our hotel!

The food: wonderful. Had appetizers (oysters, shrimp, and hush puppies) which were great. The main meal was excellent, our group had a variety of entrees and everyone enjoyed. Service was great. Our only complaint? The dining room chairs were extremely uncomfortable!! Sit in a booth, the chairs were torture!

Had the the most AMAZING treat! Dinner at the Riggsby, in the Carlyle, DC. The food was to die for....Thank You Chef Amy. Bruce was the perfect wait staff but the STAR of the evening was Taylor Lee Allen. We have followed here around since she began and every place has been impeccable!!! Once again a not to miss dinner all around. Can't wait to come back and to try the brunch!

Food was amazing- I had the mussels. I would have drank from the bowl, but it probably wouldn’t have been my best look. Bartender was lovely.

Innovative take on the classics. The food was delicious and Nina, our server, did not disappoint with thoughtful and spot on suggestions. If you're looking for an outstanding gastronomic experience, The Riggsby is a good one.

I’ve eaten here 5 times and not yet had a meal that was a disappointment. On one visit, I had such a delicious scallop crudo — and I thought I hated scallops. Last night I had their very tasty burger. My only wish is for larger Brussels sprouts. I liked their preparation, but they were quite small. And if that’s all I can criticize, it’s a great restaurant.

Lovely restaurant. Great service. I ordered the avacado, shrimp, and tomato salad and was disappointed that there wasn't more avacado. Next time I would get the French dip. The cheese platter did not disappoint.

Our dinner was phenomenal! Drinks..apps...dinner...dessert to die for. Loved the seared scallops and dessert cookies with Ben Rye dessert wine. 5 stars...The staff was attentive and charming.

Wonderful sevice, although somewhat slow. The food was amazing! The setting, on point. Everything felt like it was in slow motion.

A fantastic experience as always! The food was terrific start to finish, our server - Nina - was fabulous. One of my favorite places in the District!
