Review Joe's Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab - Washington DC

Hands down. This is my absolute favorite place. I come here multiple times a week. Not only is it in the heart of northwest DC. Its food and ambiance speak for itself. They have the absolute best. Happy hour in DC. All signature cocktails are half price. Oysters half price and a nice little happy hour menu with something for everyone. They have vegetarian options. They have seafood options as well as non seafood lover options. Their staff is always attentive and kind. They treat their customers very well. A few of my favorite happy hour i tems include the old-fashioned, the espresso martini, the cheeseburger sliders, the chicken tenders, the fried Mac and cheese sticks, in the French onion dip. They have shrimp as big as your head and giant crab claws. The stakes aren't bad either. I actually can't say anything bad about this place. Except for the fact that their bathroom is on the second floor, not the main dining floor. So you have to go up the steps every time you have to use the ladies' room.

Chose to do a quiet Thanksgiving this year after a busy summer and fall. We had the pre fixe Thanksgiving menu, and it did not disappoint! We had all the traditional dishes and amazing slices of pie at the end. Service was superb, and the atmosphere was posh yet cozy. Exactly what we expected from Joe's. Joe's will definitely be one of our regular spots for a celebratory meal, special dinners, out with guests or friends, etc.

This is a restaurant worth traveling to. My husband and I still keep talking about the wonderful meal we had here! Everything was out of this world good! Cooked to perfection and seasoned well. No wonder every seat was filled. The service was excellent. Very attentive and made us feel welcome. We cannot wait to go back! Recommend getting the stone crab, madagascar shrimp , & bone in filet mignon!

Attractive upscale restaurant with both hits & misses on the food. The filet mignon, creamed spinach & the chocolate mousse pie were superb. The Caesar salad, the rolls & the chicken were misses. Service was attentive & friendly. The ambience was pleasant if a bit noisy. Prices were somewhat on the high side.

We had another amazing experience at Joe's Stone Crab. We've been to this location twice, the Las Vegas location once, and we plan on visiting the Chicago location in the fall. This is the best seafood restaurant in the Washington DC area, in our opinion. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was excellent, loved the stone crabs, and tonight, especially, the service was fantastic. Our server Jose was outstanding. We couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough. It's a special place to dine.

Fabulous first experience at Joe’s! From the moment we walked in the door, everything was great. Our server, Jeffrey, was super wonderful and lovely. He made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every bite! The wedge salad was seriously one of the best I’ve ever had - crisp, cool, fresh! We both ordered filets, they were cooked to perfection. The four cheese mac n cheese was a perfect side to go with the filets. The key lime pie was my personal favorite, however, the tres leches pie was also decadent. I will definitely be returning to try some other deliciousness on their menu u!

You can't go wrong! It's a classic steakhouse. The service is always amazing from the time you walk in the door til the time you leave out. It is one of the few places in the city that always has a bone-in filet mignon on the menu. Also, the seafood salad is just fabulous... You must try it if you need a great steak.

Honestly, this may have been the best steak I’ve ever had. A dry aged filet, blackened medium rare. The crust and sear on this guy was astounding. Also, stone crab is in season so…. When in Rome? Lmao 5 out of 5 starts for sure

I am a huge fan of history. This place had the feel of several different eras. From colonial to the roaring 20's to the Godfather, right down to there being a functional elevator and classy bathrooms. just loved the feel of it. The food was amazing. I am always jealous because my husband chooses the most flavorful fish dishes, and he does it again here. While it is on the expensive side, I feel it is well worth it. I cannot wait to return.

It’s like an insider’s old boys club… for you, whatever you are. I saw all types of Americans in this huge and exclusive restaurant. All are welcome from hard right to wavy left and everyone in between. Everyone eats crab, apparently. Speaking of, the crab bisque is great. The other food is good too. The waiters are good and I like the variety in them too. Very dark restaurant. And crowded.
