Coming from the original ones (Amarillo and Lubbock TX) since they started, I was pleasantly suprised how it tasted the same. Finally real queso. Chorizo is so good. Great friendly service as well.
Very good food with several creative choices. Service was excellent. Margaritas were nicely done. Nice decor. Kids enjoyed. We'll be back.
Had the stuffed chicken medalions. Great flavor to the chorizo filling. Interesting dish - never had a fried stuffed chicken breast before at a Mexican restaurant. Almost seemed to be breaded with panco bread crumbs. Asked to substitute black beans for the charro beans - for me, a great move. Bartender said sure no problem. Nice trio of salsas and chips to munch on when I sat down.
Great place to spend Happy Hour, after a long day at work.
The food is delicious, the drinks are well made, decent prices, and the staff are very friendly.
I have mentioned in a previous review about attending better Mexican restaurants, this is definitely one of them.
Stopped in again with my son who fought me on wanting to go for Mexican food. I have a convert. He said there is more to Mexican food than just tacos. Yes, and Abuelo's has some great options. He liked the pork medallions and I enjoyed the salmon with wine sauce. Happy hour has some wonderful small bite options.
I took my girlfriend to the restaurant for her birthday. There were 12 other people there with us. Our server whose name was just k was fantastic! The food quality in my opinion is better than Abuelo's Mexican restaurant and both places are priced about the same. I think they are a little expensive for the food type in which they serve. Overall the experience was good and I recommend giving it a try if you like Mexican food that's not fast food like Taco Bell.
This place was amazing, service 5 stars, ambiance and interior 5 stars, food was awesome definitely 5 stars. Looking forward to go there again next time I am in the area.
Food was excellent, seasoned perfectly. Great customer service.
I had beef enchiladas and they were really good. My daughter had a grande burrito and she liked it also. The portions were huge and the prices were comparable. Our server was very pleasant and chatty making jokes. It was pretty quiet when were we there, there was only one other table of people which was partially why we wanted to go, the surrounding places were really crowded with long waits for a table. It was an excellent choice.
