El Torero

We (us 3 ladies) met there for lunch. Two of us never was there. It was suggested do to the area and our past meetings revolved around Mexican food and keeping with our tradition. The server was very friendly. The food was hot and nice portions. Fried ice cream was dessert. We had such a great time! We will be back again!!

Very disappointed with food and service. We waited about 15 minutes from the time we were ready to order and the server returned to our table to take our order. Food arrived quickly and it was just about the worst Mexican we have ever eaten. The server never checked on us while we were eating. I ordered a soft taco with steak and it came with ground beef. The cheese tasted like velvetta. Only the chips and salsa were tasty. Would never recommend this restaurant .

Went to this restaurant 4/29/2022. I ordered the Steak Mexicano. I specifically asked our server if there was any cheese or dairy that could possibly come on my food. The menu does not state cheese but I have had issues with cheese being on food at other places and not listed on the menu. He told me NO. I clarified there would be absolutely NO cheese or dairy as I am allergic. He again said NO. When I recieved my food, there was cheese on it. I asked for it to be remade and said I could not have any of the food on that plate because the cheese had touched it and I needed new everything. He said okay. Not even 5 minutes later, my "new food" came back. It was not new food. The peppers still had traces of cheese. It looked like they brought me the same plate and had removed the parts with cheese and then added extra on top to "cover" what they may have missed. I sent it back and had it removed off my bill after saying again I am allergic. I requested a manager and the manager came to the table and when I explained I could end up in the hospital because of what the server had done the manager made excuses. "Well if you had to go we have insurance" and "he probably did that because we are so busy on the weekends and did not want to make it again." ...Excuse me?! That's not how you deal with someone who has an allergy. Especially someone who said they had said they had an allergy and tried to clarify to avoid this issue in the first place. Filled up on the tortilla chips instead of an actual meal. Will NEVER go here again.
