The place was well recommended but didn’t deliver for my friend and I. It had a nice venue and staff but the prices are extremely high (seafood makes sense but everything was high). I would’ve been fine with the price if it was good but honestly I didn’t really find any flavor with my gumbo. The corn bread was super dry and tasteless. The chili was nothing special and the sausage in the po’boy was good but the rest of the sandwich was just okay. I did like the portions they gave, even for the seafood, it was a lot of food so it was plentiful but honestly did not like it as much as I wanted to. I will probably give it one more shot sometime later.

What a hidden gem! We were on our way to another restaurant and decided to take a risk and try something new. So glad we did! The portions are huge! And very savory! Spices weren't over powering, but they tickled the palate. The server was friendly and knowledgeable.
We will be back, again and again

I enjoy this place every time I visit. My favs are the alligator bites, the catfish appetizer, and the stuffed pork chops. Food is well seasoned. Large portions and reasonable prices. Excellent customer service as well.

Mac and cheese was trash. Corn bread was burnt, black and dry. Catfish was good when it was cooked all the way thru. Poboy sandwich was the best I ever had. Bread was soft, shrimp was crisp but not to much breading, sauce was good and the bread did not get soggy... I wont go back until they fixed all of these issues. even if that shrimp poboy was amazing...

Had a fantastic lunch at Bistro. They have the absolute best cajun/creole food around. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed. Andrea the owner makes everything from scratch and you can tell. If you haven’t been here yet and crave a taste of New Orleans I suggest you make this a destination spot. Below are three awesome dishes we had.

Fantastic experience, with great food, great service, and wonderful music as well! Make sure to get the gumbo as a side dish minimally! And the gator bites were outstanding as well!

Food was amazing. Gotta try the gator! Awesome service and got lots of dishes great price. Only downside is credit card machine is down like many places. Worth carrying cash for

Awesome staff, in person and over the phone. Food is clearly made in house because quality varies between visits. Avoid this place if you are on a low sodium diet.
On a good day... Their fried appetizers are excellent, as is their catfish in general. The catfish Pontchartrain is fantastic, a great value, and a great way to try a few things at once. Gumbo is mildly seasoned, I like it, the flavors of the meats and veggies really shine. Jambalaya is delicious, just a tad spicy. Beans and rice, the one time I've had it, was very heavy on beans and included a bit of very tasty sausage.
≈4.3-4.4 / 5 on average, but on good days they make REALLY good food, so I'm rounding up to 5 / 5.
