We went there at about 8PM on a weeknight and the restaurant had only a few diners scattered in the vast number of tables. This gave a bit of an eerie feel to our dining experience. The atmosphere was otherwise pleasant and clean, so this was a personal feeling not the fault of the facility. This is a large buffet with several hot tables and a vast selection of typical Chinese foods. Although it was getting late and the volume of diners was low, they maintained the food selection. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced but just average or below. Some of the dishes were apparently sitting for several hours. We did observe the attendants going around and stirring the trays to freshen the appearance. The food was kept hot or cold, but the low turn around on this night contributed to the texture of some of the dishes becoming mushy, having thickened sauce, or meats becoming a bit dried out. There was a tray of chicken on skewers that looked like plastic and very unappetizing. I avoided this selection. The few foods I had ranged from okay to leave it on the plate and try something else. Fortunately due to the huge selection of items, there were a few that were satisfying and tasted . . . well . . . okay for average Chinese food. I didn't try the sushi or cooked to order items. I can't recommend Chen Young Buffet and will not go back for a second visit. This may have been an off night and maybe it's better on a weekend when there's a higher volume. If you are a buffet aficionado this might be worth a try. I'll pass on this one.

Nice & roomy, but when you pay dinner prices & the lobster is always old tasting & they bring out very few pieces at a time when they do replenish it. Rest of food taste okay. Lady at front desk not friendly, never looks happy. She should not be the first person guest see. It is only because they are roomy that we went there a few nights in a row with our large party of over 30 people in for our seminar. Otherwise, plenty of more pleasant restaurants around.

Mid quality Chinese food and sushi, exactly what I expected for an inexpensive buffet. If you want lots of food at a low price this is a great place. If you want top quality go somewhere else and pay 3 to 5 times more. Clean, friendly, plenty of food. Really liked the pork, mushrooms, vegetable lo mein, chicken skewers, broccoli, wings. Sushi was better than other buffets, obviously not as good as take out. I would stay away from the pepper steak and the chicken meatballs.

Alright, so...where do I start? We stopped in for lunch. We were hopeful as the place was pretty packed. The ambiance is fine, very typical of most Chinese buffets. The restaurant has pretty standard fare decor wise. The food is what, unfortunately, fell far short of my expectations. The meats were all somewhat questionable in appearance, age, and taste. The selection was also very small. The salad area was dark and pretty sparse as far as options and it felt like it was put together by someone who really didn't know what their target consumer would put in a salad bar. The deserts were also in this dimly lit area and I was disappointed to see that they were pretty stale. I'd say this place is a pass.

It was alright. The noodles and veggies were good. Can't say the same for some of the meat; they tasted dry and old. The seafood wasn't that great either; overly seasoned and did not taste fresh. Dessert didn't look that great so I skipped out on it. Choice of food was mediocre. I went on a Sunday for lunch. The restaurant was practically empty during that time. Maybe if you go on a different day it will be better?

We went there kind of late, after the dinner rush. So it was just me and my husband. He was able to eat all the crab legs he wanted to and the food was good. The waitress was nice and attentive as well.

Today was the last time I go here. Prices are pretty steep. The "hostess" who rang us up was pretty rude. Most of our food was cold especially the boneless spare ribs Not sure what they cooked them in but it tasted like cheap ketchup.
