Bob Evans

Friday May 27 -Large order of 9 meals The food was not ready at agreed time of pick up and the order was given two hours in advance. The order was missing syrup, a side of bacon, and appropriate functioning cutlery. The lettuce in the salads was brown and some of our food was cold. When I called to make the order I asked if the staff at the time could handle the large order or if they would rather we order somewhere else. I inquired as to their staffing because it seemed the manager was unaware of how the online ordering works for his location. I tried to place the order online and had issues and then when I asked him he had no idea what I was talking about. When I arrived on time to pick up the food they were not ready. The food was ready 10 minutes after the agreed pick up time. The dining room was empty, the lobby was full of people waiting to be seated, the hostess was behind the counter texting, the waitresses were also texting behind the counter while the food in the window piled up. The manager did nothing to step up and help the people needing to be waiting on and the entire operation seemed to be failing. This was not a good day for Bob Evans in Wapakoneta. It is questionable if we should order from here again.

Dear lil Bob, Its been a very, very long time since I've visited a Bob Evans and I was quickly reminded why it had been such a long time. The food is good, service eh, cleanliness bleh very bleh 🤢 I had forgotten the last time I was here I had to continuously ask for clean cutlery and plates. This time I took it upon myself to clean it with a diaper wipe. Many moons ago the manager had told me that the dishwasher was out of some magical liquid that removed the protien from the dishes. Since this is mainly a "breakfast place" with the chickens working extra hard serving lots of eggs. All the dishes had speckles of food (protein) left. Apparently that magical fluid must still be in short supply years later. The food is good but I rather not eat my food and the last person's food maybe, just maybe if the dishes didn't for such a long time at a table this wouldn't be such an issue. As we arrived the table past the "social distancing" table was dirty and stayed dirty the entire time. As well as the floor under our table. I've helped many restaurants in my day. You're a chain and should be held to a higher standard.
