The Lucky Steer

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The service was the only good thing about our wasted lunch money. The place was dirty. The restaurant smells gross. The food was gross. Bland. No flavor or effort put into the dishes whatsoever. The meats tasted like they were thawed, frozen, and thawed again. Either that, or just inferior meat. We had pork chops, baked potato, burger, chicken wrap, cottage cheese. The fries, chips, and roll were all burnt. I'm leaving this honest review in hopes of saving somebody else the same experience and wasted $40.

A big thank you from a long haul trucker to you guys. I got tagged in a post from you guys, and figured I was in the area. I've been having a rough couple days, and the kindness I was shown by the staff was incredible. I barely had the air brakes on before a waitress came out with a menu to take my drink order. I didn't catch her name, but she was very friendly and welcoming. The food was incredible, clearly homemade, good portion sizes, and absolutely delicious. I felt truly appreciated here. If I'm ever able to visit again I 100% will.

Went today was looking forward as there online menu said that they have sirloin steak unfortunately when I arrived they only had the rib eye steak was ok had this with fries and salad. Salad was first rather cold was ok the steak and fries I did enjoy the atmosphere with the new rules about wearing a face mask while moving around the restaurant once seated you can remove they have plastic in between the tables as well so they have tried to minimize the overall impact.

Wish I could give 5 more stars pulled tractor trailer on there lot and was met by a very cheerful young lady took drink order when we got those she took our food order. She waited on other trucks and managed to handle the situation like a pro. Food was great and paid for by donations which surprised both of us and the free slice of apple pie was awesome!!!

My wife and I take a weekly road trip to a different county seat in Ohio and eat at a local restaurant when we're there. When we visited Auglaize County Lucky Steer was our chosen restaurant. It was a late lunch time and the service was not so quick but friendly. The food was good! It was an old fashioned family style restaurant that frankly came across as being tired.
