Nice local spot, been twice, and both times the service was great, and the food is really good. It has a lodge- like atmosphere, big fireplace in the main room, and of course the gorgeous water view. Definitely has become one of my favorite places to dine when I head to the shore. A bit away from the boardwalk but well worth the drive.
Good, real food. You can really taste the char from the grill which is nice. I would recommend a sauce for your steak if you like more flavor. Menu isn’t very extensive but it doesn’t need to be. Service was great as well.
Stopped for dinner tonight. I had the White peach Sangria which was very refreshing. I had shrimp cocktail and a special NY strip steak with baked mac n cheese and green beans. Hubby had a ham and bean soup and a Lobster, shrimp and clam special pasta. The shrimp cocktail were somewhat overcooked but still okay. The steak was perfectly cooked to med rare and the mac n cheese was one of the best I ever had. The green beans were bright green and crisp. My husband enjoyed the soup and the pasta special but was very disappointed that they did not serve any bread with the pasta even when he asked. We also asked for a window seat but told they were reserved. When we left, there were still several window tables empty.
Food was good and portions were large and prices have certainly increased. We need to blame the inflation that we are currently experiencing and possibly the increases in cost of maintaining a staff. I feel that $80 for lunch for 2 is a bit high but it is a nice place to meet with friends.
Waitstaff was pleasant and our waiter went above and beyond. The scallop appetizer was delicious! My burger with lobster on the specials was fine, but not up to their usual delicious burgers. My friends fish and chips looked and smelled delicious, which she said it was. Overall always a good experience.
