Ho. My. Lord. I don’t even know how to begin to explain this place, besides maybe “confusing” and “an absolute revelation”. I have genuinely never had sushi this good before, and can not wait to go back! We stopped at this spot based on the reviews, and they were NOT wrong. I’ve never in my life had sushi this spectacular. It seems simple, but every piece is absolute perfection. Four months later and I still dream of this place. Go here!! But call in your order well in advance...it’s slow, but worth every moment.

AWESOME TAKE OUT Swish dining environments are few and far between in Waianae, unless you count the chain eateries. But Sun Sushi provides sushi freshly made while you wait. It is worth the wait knowing that it is being made from fresh ingredients and experts. It is delicious and perfect to take out and eat in the sun or at twilight watching the waves or the sunset. The couple making the food, ?the owners, have been there a long time and they seem very gentle people intent on providing an excellent meal to order. The store is a bit tucked away on the ocean side of the highway but worth the hunt. We order from there several times each time we visit Waianae.
