1424 Bistro

I enjoyed a delicious meal at this Mediterranean Bistro. The food was perfect to suit my taste. I absolutely love the setting and architecture. The staff was the best! Warm, friendly and professional. My waiter even joined me in one of my pictures. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

We were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at 1424 Bistro. The service provided by the college student was wonderful. (We so enjoy supporting college students willing to work.). The drinks were delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed the margarita. And the food did not disappoint. Cleverly located across the street from a large Catholic Church it was a very pleasant evening in Waco Texas out on the patio. Well done 1424 Bistro!

Some friends and I ate there Friday night and it was outstanding. There is no place in Waco to order Halibut and the chef made it exactly like I like it, crisp, lemon and butter. The service was wonderful and the house was full but most enjoyable. It was my first time there and my friends had been there many times before and obviously, love it. Thank you, 1424 Bistro, for a memorable dinner. I love it!

The food was otherworldly, the service was pristine and I can’t wait to go back. Choosing a cocktail was difficult - so many and such creative mixes! I chose the pear martini and was very very happy. The decor is great, the vibe is chill and did I mention the service! Will drive up again from Austin just to go back!

Food was pretty good, service was great. Parking is a bit limited, I highly suggest you find somewhere nearby to park and walk the rest of the way. Additionally this place is fairly loud. While the inside is well furnished and clean, there are no soft surfaces to dampen sound so it is just loud the whole time. The house wine was quite good. The sides were weirdly portioned ($7 for 4 small pieces of broccoli) so I suggest the dishes that have more than a simple item. Our dessert was pretty good, and there was a good variety across the menus.

tried to make a reservation that was confirmed over the phone but the name was never recorded by the host table according to the main hostess. after we got seated (in the front) we didn’t receive even a water or a welcome from any waiter or waitress though my party sat patiently watching new guests get seated and welcomed. after 20 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge my party we left the restaurant. when leaving the hostess who sat us didn’t seem at all troubled or bothered. overall will never come back.

This place was phenomenal. From their excellent fresh from the sea menu selection to the great ambiance and beautiful outdoor dining to the best service staff in Waco. Tyler and Laura were exceptional going above and beyond making our late night dining experience worthy to write home about. We found our golden gem.
