Iconic American Chinese food spot in Kempsville. Been here since the Lincoln administration. Years and years ago, saw kids in the kitchen. Now they're not kids anymore. Great food, great prices, no better Chinese takeout for at least fifteen miles. The lunch specials come loaded with pork fried rice. I tend to have the pork egg foo young, but all the items are terrific. Closed on Mondays and that's the only negative aspect about this place, is that they close.
You cannot go wrong with this fabulous neighborhood spot.
I was hesitant to order Chinese food out here on my lunch break cuz the food is never really seasoned around these parts butttt omg this food was too good it was the best Chinese food I ever had 😭 I had to force myself to stop eating the dumplings swear
It's a pick up place, anyway the food was great got different stuff, garlic chicken combo w pork fr rice and egg roll yummy, friends got Szechuan chix, chicken fried rice, beef w broccoli and we all loved it! Very fast preparation. Don't have pics cuz I ate it too fast! Recommend any that we tried but I'll probably try their version of chow mei fun ... (Curry spiced thin noodles), someone in near future!
It's not really an easy in place, they also still have the COVID protection plexiglass glass up which I like actually, so it's a pick up or a delivery situation. Good food, fast
Jumbo is our favorite, no ONLY, Chinese restaurant! We have been enjoying this delicious carryout food for more than 20 years. There is a great menu selection to try and our special favorites are consistently great, always the same. This family business prepares our meals, just as if we were their family. Good food, great tastes, reasonable prices - like comfort food you can count on.
Jumbo recently reopened after the Covid-19 shutdown and has updated their service counter to keep everyone safe as you will see in the photos here. Our family LOVES Jumbo!
The best cheese wontons... chicken teriyaki 🔥💯❤️ had the mushroom and onion egg fo Yung... Amazing... Don't sleep on this outstanding restaurant... 110!! Rating for taste and quality... Don't forget to rip them even inside takeout...‼️‼️
Service is always so fast, and the crab Rangoon’s are my favorite.
Been going to jumbo for over 15 years. Very nice family owned business. Excellent customer service, they even recognize my voice when I order over the phone and they know I don't like onions.
Absolutely great. Fairly standard takeout Chinese but so much better than anyone else in VA Beach or Norfolk. Wish I found them months ago. Dumplings are fantastic.
Had a hankering for Chinese. Found this gem in Kempsville. I ordered the Mongolian Beef extra spicy. It was simply delicious. The brown sauce was perfect, not too sweet, just right!
