The food is very German. Which is hard to find in the states. My favorite comfort food from German is the curry wurst and fries. Guilty pleasure. The little touches they do are great such as little German flags on food as well having food delivered to you - when the truck isn’t overwhelmed with business. The owners are friendly and accommodating. We see them mostly at Commonwealth Brewery in Chix Beach. Good times there w great street food!!
This may be a food truck, and their menu may be small, but the stuff they do have can go toe to toe with similar items at any other German restaurant in the area, including the almighty Bier Garden. Their homemade curry ketchup is awesome, get it on the bratwurst. The prices here can't be beat as well. Can't say enough about this little food truck.
I don't know what kind of magicianry they are doing with these fries..... but I like it! You have to try the Curry fries. I didn't know these two things went together but now I can't untaste it. I'll try something additional next time.
Great food!! Definitely going to track where this food truck goes! Brought it home to eat and actually thought of driving back to get something for the next day it was that good!!
Truly authentic German food! Highly recommend
We were at COVA this past weekend and were very excited to see the German foodtruck, Deutscher Imbiss, was serving that day. I have ordered the spatzle before and it was good. This time I went with the bratwurst and pommes frites. The brat had excellent flavor and the sauteed onions were very nicely done. I don't eat sauerkraut, so I didn't have it "all-the-way" like most Germans would. We had a party of six and everyone enjoyed the food. Definitely worth the effort to find this food truck at a local brewery or event. Prost!!
On a recommendation, we tracked down this food truck at Commonwealth Brewing Company. The food was cooked fresh, tasted great and customer service was terrific. We will continue to watch where this food truck goes and will happily order again in the future.
This truck was next to ours today. I had the currywurst and it brought me back the Rheinland Falls. I was stationed in Kaiserslautern and remember trying this for the first time at a village fair. Still taste just as lovely...... I will be looking for your truck again!!!
I was attending N.A.T.Ofest this past weekend and came across the Schnelimbiss for a bite to eat. This place is PHENOMENAL !! I ordered the Frikadellen mit Kartoffelsalat (Meat patties with Potato Salad) and it was absolutely delicious. The Frikadellen is a mixture of beef and pork with subtle amount of spices fried. The Kartoffelsalat was a mixture of boiled potatoes dress with diced cucumber, spices and vinegar. In addition , the also have Bratwurst, Currywurst, Schnitzel Bites, etc and all are delicious. They also have daily specials that are worth checking out.
The owners Mathias and Anna put a great deal of quality in their food and are very congenial . This is, without a doubt, a great place to have a bite to eat !
it was authentic german cuisine and tasted very delicious. if you see this food truck it is a must try for anyone. they were both very friendly and helpful when deciding what i wanted. danke
I've noticed that a lot of restaurants with bratwurst on the menu in this area always have a soggy bun. No soggy bun here and the bratwurst was delicious!
