Taco John's

I generally go here because my son likes the food and the other day I also tried it myself and I ordered a bean burrito because I do not eat meat and it was delicious. It is a restaurant inside of the mall cafeteria and considering that the food was not bad at all and the people who work here are always extremely nice and friendly which is a plus so I can definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be going again myself no complaints from me.

Food was good service was ok and they were speedy taking the orders! Also if you like an actual taco sauce please for the love of God get the "hot" packets. The mild ones are a tomato paste just lucky to have been nominated for best mild sauce ever because it's so mild they didn't even make it to the taco seasonings!

Taco Johns is a Midwest delicacy and I am SO excited to have one on the east coast! I have gone in several times with large orders (30-50 tacos and 5-7lbs of potato oles) and they are always SO nice to me, helpful, and quick. Only bummer is their phone doesn’t work so I can’t call ahead with my ridiculous orders 🤣

Food was good as always. I grew up on Taco Johns however cashiers were extremely rude and not understanding. Where most Taco Johns locations in the mid west and mountain states have their own building the only one in VA is in a mall. Being in a mall setting there is no self serve hot or mild sauce they only have pre made packets )YUCK) . Today as normal I asked for a cup of fresh from the back and I was rudely told that they don't do that. Well I asked fro the normal manager that I did not see around. I was eventually brought 2 sides of hot sauce which there should not be an issue and employees should be trained properly. Yes it was the day after Christmas and the mall was busy, but still no excuse for the rudeness. Also food was made very fast which adds to fact flavor was good and thus 4 not five stars.

Hard to find a taco John's outside of the Midwest but this place really brings it home to me. Nothing like ordering a six-pack and a pound and putting in some work. Well worth the drive to VA beach. Service may be a little slow but it's in a mall food court so I'm obviously wasting time there to begin with.
