Great food!
Slightly pricy, but worth it.
I only took off a star because they were out of two things we wanted to try, so be aware that when you go in some things might be unavailable even if it doesn't say so on the menu.
Still, one of our favorite places to eat!

The others must have eaten at another restaurant. Food was wonderful and good value. The service was great. Only place to get an actual Scottish breakfast in Hampton roads. Will go again.

I've been looking for good, authentic fish and chips for years ! Found it! The Highlander is the best. tasy fish in a crunchy batter, of course add malt vinegar, and it's perfect! Good prices too. And their shepherds pie is real shepards pie.... so many American restaurants pass off cottage pie as shepherds pie! The difference? Shepherds pie is made with lamb (what do shepherds watch?) Cottage pie is made with beef!

The cottage pie was delicious, as were the fish and chips. Helen and her husband are so nice, I wanna live there! Plus, they were very accommodating and chatted with us about all sorts of things.
