I was in town for the Thanksgiving holiday. My sister-in-law told us about this place so we all decided to give it a try. We made reservations for 10am because we heard that it gets busy there. Walking into the restaurant, we first noticed the high ceilings and a lot of natural light. It took a minute to get seated but our waitress was attentive, friendly, and quick with our drinks. We tried the fried green tomatoes first and they were outstanding. I had the honey Sriracha Chicken and Waffles and I can say that it's been the best breakfast / brunch I have had in a long time. Everyone else with me enjoyed their brunch also. As our brunch was wrapping up we noticed the restaurant starting to get busier. So if you are planning on 11 am or later i would make sure to have a reservation so that you can get a seat. It was a great experience and next time we are in town we will be sure to stop in for a bite to eat.
The ambience and atmosphere was perfect. A lot of seating for big groups. The collards tasted pretty good. I was worried from the reviews. The chicken sandwich didn't have much seasoning and it was fried hard. The mega mimosa was good but not worth $15. Overall it was a great brunch under $130 for 3 ladies.

This place was absolutely amazing! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and the staff was very accommodating! I would recommend this place for first dates, family gatherings or birthdays. Haven't had southern food this good in a long time!
The Food to me was pretty good, my man however didn’t think the food was seasoned that well. He did enjoy his Mai Mai but he did say his potatoes were dry and the fried green tomatoes weren’t seasoned. My burger was delicious. P.S it can be a little loud because it is a busy place.
The food was excellent with large portion sizes. I had biscuits for a cause, the smothered chicken, mac n cheese, and grits w/ goat cheese. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The atmosphere was nice and it wasn't crowded on a Saturday night. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant very clean. Our order took a little long but we didn't notice until they apologized for the delay and offered free dessert. I would definitely return whenever I'm in town.
We visited the establishment on a holiday weekend, and so I will give a bit of grace to the poor service. The restaurant is trendy and eye appealing. The three of us each tried a different dish, and all of it was delicious. Their mimosas were just okay. We had reservations, and yet they still seemed ill prepared for our arrival. We were there for well over 10 minutes without even a visit by a waitress. We had to make pleading eyes with a passing waitress from another section. Our waiter finally arrived without even a hint of apology. The entire meal went like that. We basically had to lasso the waitress anytime we needed anything. I would likely visit again since the food was really good. Hopefully the service will be better next time.
Great Brunch Spot in Va Beach. I will start with the reason for 4 🌟 on food is because all of the chicken ordered for the table was overcooked and no real flavor. I believe the sauce was supposed to be the seasoning but it was a fail. The positives are the fried green tomatoes were top notch. The bartender was very helpful with a drink selection and I decided on a delicious Lavender lemonade cocktail. The shrimp and Grits were so delicious and will have you craving for more. I returned the next day for another serving of tomatoes.
8/2/23 - I have been here a few times now. I love the atmosphere of this place. The food and drinks are super delicious. I love their fried green tomatoes and get it every time. I have gotten a few different dishes and each time it was super good. The service is always great as well.
Ate at Tupelo Honey this week. Just looking at the menu I knew that I need to go back a few more times. On this first trip I started with cracklings for a starter, but also shared with a friend who got fried green tomatoes. Both hit my Southern soul just in the right spot. The pimento cheese on the cracklings was smooth and the bacon was crisp. The green tomatoes hit just the right note with the goat cheese grits.
For my main I got the pork cooked in duck fat with sriracha, collard greens and grits. The pork, though a little overcooked, was tender and had great flavor. The collards could have used a little salt, but had an appropriate amount of spice and paired beautifully with the grits.
For dessert I ordered the heavenly banana pudding and boy did it make my heart sing! Can’t wait to come back to try other dishes.
I got the chicken and waffles, they were great and just melted in your mouth.
The biscuit appetizer was really good as well
The server (Adam) great guy was very enthusiastic and happy to be there
The place seemed kinda fake and chain like other than that nice place to eat
