Brisket nachos are great. Ribs are excellent nice and tender, brisket is amazing just melts in your mouth, burnt ends are a must try everything was cooked perfectly. Sweet potatoes were creamy and the marshmallow topping was great. The corn bread muffins are very good. Great bbq all around. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Amazing brisket and sausage, super friendly staff and good portions. Price is reasonable for what you get. The BBQ sauce (spicy and regular) was great too. Had a good flavor and consistency all around.

Ribs are my favorite. Burt ends are also a must. Onion straws made fresh to order. There are salads and a few healthy options, but let’s face it, you’re not coming here for health food. A guilty pleasure. Convenient to eat in, however carry out is our style.

Real Urban Barbecue has been my go to BBQ place for the last few years. Every BBQ joint I go to in and around the city I compare it to R.U.B.. It has never disappointed. The people working there are so friendly, you know they love what they do. The Brisket and Burnt Ends are a must have. If you can't decide what to get try the mini sandwiches with the different meats. During the weekends the Burnt Ends go fast! Their original BBQ sauce is good and sweet that you have to buy a bottle to take home. And don't get me started on the pickles! So crunchy and sweet. The Mac&Cheese just balances everything out perfectly.

Great food and excellent help ordering from Jose. For a party of 30, we ordered six pounds of smoked salmon and 6 pounds of brisket. Just the right amount of food. The salmon came with a simple and delicious cold dill sauce that paired perfectly. The brisket was so delicious it didn’t even need bbq sauce. The sides were all tasty - especially liked the grilled veggies! Thank you Real Urban - looking forward to our next catering event

I wanted to give full five stars across the board because food was phenomenal and most of the employees were awesome but one lady refused to sell me a slice of pie although they had a whole pie and a sign in front of it that said slices for $4.99 or whole pie for $21.99 so I asked for two slices for my wife and I and she refused said that they don't feel like cutting it and tried forcing me to buy the whole pie and very pushy about it. Too bad because it was our first time here and we live far but because of the experience of one rude cashier I would not make the trip back out of my way. If you advertise slices then grab a knife and honor your advertisement! Really ruined the experience!!

Been going to Real Urban since they opened their first shop in downtown Highland Park. The burnt ends are like meat candy!!! And Ill continue to order by the pound as long as their consistency in their product remains top-notch. Some of the best in metro-Chicago.

Great barbecue. The pulled pork was very tender and juicy. Mashed potatoes were creamy. The three meat combo came with two sides and is enough for two to split. Prices are fair as well.
