So on the way into town we had a great breakfast. Our young hostess was amazing, Our waitress was very kind. I think her name might have been. Cindy, she's very attentive. Filled our coffee/tea made sure our food was good...... On the way out of town we stopped in again because the prices aren't bad. The food's really good and usually the people are kind and very attentive but then we were seated. Our order was taken. We received our drinks. We received our food and had to hunt down our waitress to get our food ticket so we could leave and that was the end of that ... Big difference between morning and night shift. Food was great though. So the only reason why there's a four stars is because the girl that helped us in the evening didn't do her job.
The food here is ok but the service was really good. Portions are actually big. I ordered the new york steak and eggs. I'm not sure but I think the steak was a bit over cooked for my liking. I don't know if that was cooked medium. The pineapple mimosas were small but good.
I was snowed in heading back to California. I went inside to charge my phone and talk to my parents. Was really worried being so far away from my parents all by myself
The staff running the restaurant were very kind and allowed me to charge my phone and one of the staff even talked to me and made sure I was okay. Whoever did that, thank you so much.
Also, the fries I ended up buying tasted great! So if you don't care about their amazing hospitality, go for the fries 😎
There is rarely a host(ess) to seat us, but I usually just walk in and find someone. (Mainly because I am an impatient MF). I have never met such a great staff no matter what time of day we go there to eat. Friendly and personable. And if you've read any of my reviews, you know I am very particular in my judgment of personnel.
But what speaks the loudest at Sierra Cafe is the food, of course. We had breakfast last time and I had the Ribeye Steak and Eggs. The steak is the first and most important part of the meal, because that is what sets the price. (If your eggs, potatoes or toast aren't perfect, who cares? As long as that Ribeye is good)! But in this situation it was ALL good. The steak was charred perfectly without affecting the perfect medium rare. Home fries were spot-on as well as my over medium eggs. My hats off to the chef and I hope he is there next time we go to eat at Sierra Cafe.
August 2017. $8.99 for Prime Rib Dip sandwich with fries. Very tasty. Generous portions. Friendly Staff. Fast service. The prime rib had been shredded, making it very easy to eat. I pulled 1/2 of the bread aside for the photo and inadvertently covered most of the fries. Several months ago I had their Country Fried Steak breakfast ($10.99) and enjoyed it.
Great food and customer service! Have had Breakfast for the last 3 days there. Enjoy atmosphere.
