Just 5 minutes off the Interstate 80 Gold Ranch exit is a little gem that shouldn’t be missed. It’s woodsy interior is clean and the bar is popular with locals. Inn summer the small covered deck is the place to be, but don’t miss the Dog Valley tacos (we opted for shrimp, but you can get steak, chicken, fish or an occasional special like salmon. Staff is nice with just the right amount of sassy. The fish and chips are also worthy. When you’re done, drive another 3 minutes to the Verdi Distillery.
Super friendly bar, even if you're not a local. The food is is fantastic as is the service. Crowded on the weekends so better to come off hours. The blackened ribeye steak sandwich is the best thing here! The strawberry salad if you gotta have a salad. The Calamari is the best appetizer to get.
Lovely place to eat. Fun Bigfoot theme and even better food. Prime Dip and Fish and Chips were wonderful. Fries are beer battered and fried. Super service too.
We had the fish and chips and the blackened ribeye sandwich and both were top notch! Our waitress was awesome also! Amazing food and a great atmosphere!
Fast, attentive, friendly, and informative service. All the food was delicious and I'd go back just for the wings. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip. This is definitely a place we'll seek out again. Anyone who felt the staff was slow must have been there on a off day or have a broken watch.
Surprisingly good for a small tavern off the beaten path.
You won't confuse the food for a bistro in North Beach, but the dishes are thoughtfully done, enjoyable, and generous with the ingredients and flavors.
If you're heading to/from Reno, or in the area, certainly worth the visit.
Limited seating, so off hours or weekdays are probably best.
We initially came to Verdi to check out Chop 40, but after a less than warm welcome, we decided to go to Sasquatch Tavern instead. Their staff was welcoming, friendly, and made you feel at home. The Tavern is cute and the portions are huge! Great food and even better staff! A+ Will definitely go again!
So dang yummy. We were actually looking for a different place but came across this place and it did not disappoint. The waitress we had was the sweetest!! And I didn't expect there to be many choices for the kids, but surprisingly they have a full kids menu. The food was really flavorful and they were huge portions! And they have Alaskan Amber which is one of my boyfriend and I's favorites. I'm glad we stopped here.
