Texas BBQ, yes, but overpriced and somewhat under-delivers. We tried a large plate so as to get a little variety. The all-important brisket was dry, not to a bone dry, but certainly not fall apart in your mouth as good TX BBQ Brisket should be. The sausage was flavourful, but extremely fatty. We couldn't finish it between the two of us. The fries were amazing, unique. Corn bread was solid. However, that "large" plate with 2 sides and 1 soda was over $30. That would have netted me a good bit more in the Lone Star State I can say from experience. The essentials of the restaurant were good...good location, fun signage, you can taste the smoke in the meat... but the execution was not up to the standard I'd expect from TX BBQ and the pricing was somewhat high.

This place is a must. We had the brisket, pulled pork, and wings. Everything was great. I really liked almost every sauce. I'm usually a dry rub type person but the sauces were packed with flavor and in my option a none traditional BBQ sauce. Keep this place in your back pocket for when you want to impress your dinner guest.

I've carried out from here twice and both times it was amazing. This is the best BBQ around in the state of Indiana. Be prepared to pay for it, it's somewhat expensive. Certain days they have specials and the wings ARE AMAZING. Ribs and Brisket are on point as well. Any criticism I could give would be they need larger drink cups and more room to dine in. The parking also isn't great but just take it to go!!!!!

Best BBQ in NWI hands down, so happy it’s in Valpo! They sell out regularly, so if you’re set on something, get here early. Their brisket sandwich is my favorite, but their ribs and chicken wings are also standouts. I love the sweet potato tots and my boyfriend is a huge fan of the side winders (their version of French fries, dipped in liquid gold cheese sauce of course). Their current cornbread recipe is also delicious. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order here, and the service matches the food! A father-son duo run the business and they literally make magic happen! As a plus, Bob is always super friendly and comes around to check on guests! It is small inside if you plan to dine in, but we’ve never gone anticipating dine in and had to leave due to space.
